    2014 CX-5 Hood TSB?

I think it varies from car to car as some people don't have the broken adhesive like others and some only have one or two broken compared to others where most or all of them have detached. Mine will move enough in the right conditions at the back corners of the hood that the bottom of the metal...

Traded the Mazda in Need to sell some accesories

no kidding. The hit on depreciation would be too brutal for me. I guess in some states they don't hit you with tax on the full price of the replacement car like in CA, rather just the difference in price between the trade and new so that wouldn't be as bad but here that is around another...

    Wiper blade replacement

If you want to keep the fancy part of the blade then just replace the rubber insert, it is far cheaper than buying a complete blade assembly and the only part that needs replaced. The rubber part separates from the fancy shaped housing and only costs around $6

    Rain kills gas mileage.

I find even a strong side-wind seems to negatively impact my mpg, I guess it must throw off the aerodynamics of the air flowing over the car. Or I'm just imagining it :)

Resuming Playback with 2014 CX-5 GT Tech Stereo and other issues

Can you try a powered USB hub plugged in there? Would that keep power to the memory stick? Granted the power for it would need to be plugged into an outlet but at least it would be a way to test it.... maybe...

2014 CX-5 New Owner Observations: Detailed Review (2.5L Touring AWD)

I just reach into my pocket and go by feel for the buttons to avoid having to pull the fob out and put it back. Although if I fumble around for it too much i could give a bad impression too. With the Mazda emblem at the top of the fob it is pretty easy to find which button to push quickly...

Adapting 2014 multimedia software (Pandora) into 2013's unit.

someone should setup a radio swap get together. That way the people with 2014s that want to listen to MP3s could swap radios with people with 2013s that want the other features. I'm guessing if you can get the 2013 to run the 2014 software then the mp3s will have the same issues as the 2014

    Aftermarket advanced keyless entry

I'm pretty happy with it the way it is. I don't have to take the key out of my pocket to push the unlock button in a parking lot as it is easy to go by feel. I don't have to hit a button on the door handle before other people can get in. The remote works from pretty much the longest...

    Air filter

you are almost there.... the K&N flowing more has nothing to do with the pleats and everything to do with the filtering material. Otherwise a larger air filter wouldn't be a better flowing filter and even K&N says larger is better: "Typhoon Air Intake System: They come with an oversized...

    blackberry phone handsfree wont work

no kidding. I've used some nearly antique phones with mine and only one had a connection issue after connecting fine so I just deleted it from the list and reconnected it.

    Dash cover

I don't know what vehicle that is in their picture but I doubt it is old enough to not have a passenger air bag and the dash is completely covered on it: Even in the old days they'd have cutout sections that would get attached to the airbag cover. Back when those were exposed. CX-5 cover:

    Dash cover

I'll take that over getting the edge of a velour or carpet mat slicing across my eye at high speed. I know it isn't the most likely thing to happen but I have heard of it happening.

    Dash cover

like those velour or carpet ones? I wouldn't recommend them on cars with airbags as having a dash cover come at you at 200 mph might not be fun. They seem soft until they hit your eye.

I just want the Fog lights on...

I agree, I wish lights would be looked at as a useful safety item and not a decoration that is there to be modified, tinted, re-aimed or made to say "look at me"

    Closing Windows Issues

I agree, I never take the key out of my pocket and just push the unlock button with it still there. (added a deadbolt with a keypad at home so I don't even need to take the key out to lock/unlock the house) I do wish it would keep the accessories powered until you opened the drivers door like...

    Air filter

You are arguing with the laws of physics and you have two different arguments there! I didn't mention anything about paper vs gauze for what flows better. The fact remains that more pleats equals larger surface area and so less air being forced through the same space at the same time and...

    Air filter

That example doesn't work in the least for a comparison. The opening that the filter fits into stays the same. A square inch of filtering material has a specific amount of resistance to airflow. If you just make it a flat section of that material you only get (just guessing here as I...

    Push Start Distance

I think that was completely staged for the show. It is an entertaining show but they don't always let facts get in the way of the story. I can't imagine any keyless start working from that far away and as pointed out above if the engine actually stopped when it couldn't detect the key anymore...
