Is the new Navi TomTom based? I didn't think so...I love my 2014.5 TomTom Navi BTW...the traffic updates are ALWAYS accurate and never lets me down...seriously...

I wonder if the internet fed subscription sounds any less ass than the satellite one? My Nissan NV2500HD cargo van's SiriusXM sounds way better than my 2014 CX-5s....go figure...

So if this can be done to the newer connect systems, is there no options on the older system on the CX-5s?

Our GPS in the USA works great, not sure what system is used in Taiwan.... the more satellites the greater the accuracy...

If you have been following the Mazda3 forums with the newer systems, you would realize the system is not better. People having constant problems, random reboots, bad USB sticks, etc...

Our nav generally has very accurate traffic, and usually doesn't freak out... we have used it in most of CA and even NV...

I only buy the top of the line trim, and the upgrade from 15 to 2016 is substantial. Better infotainment, better seats, better headlights... The upgraded smart braking is worth it alone... Btw... the reason we didn't buy the Santa Fe Sport was the scary electronic steering...google it...

I have to admit, the new specs on the 2016 CX-5 are pretty cool, the LED headlights, the upgraded smart city braking plus the rear detection... The infotainment, if the same as the newer Mazda3s seem to STILL have problems. Even the AUS reviewer that had the new 2016s had multiple Bluetooth...

The Pandora app doesn't work with my Windows Phone 8.1...I think it may only be an Apple iPhone thing...pretty sure the issue is with Pandora not updating the apps on their end...but I am not sure...

Someday, the media screen will be just that...and there will be some sort of computer that you can pull out, to upgrade or whatever... The new Audis have this I believe. Every car will get the same system, and you can pay to unlock different levels of service...it makes it easy to upgrade, easy...

Please remember this SAME infortainment system is in the CX-9 and the Mazda6. So I think if Mazda can figure something out they will, but it will wind up costing a lot of money to them. Figure every people wants the BT module replaced, infotainment system reflashed or whatever...say it costs...
