Is anyone running E85 in their MSP?

I ran my car on e85 for a while. Was it worth it, for me yes, it made more power. But, i started driving too much to be practical switched back to 93... If you're not built it isn't really worth it you'll need stand alone

How-to, 4Pot Brembo BBK on cheapish...

I could not find any spacers ether. I bought 3mm hub-centric spacer, took them to the machine shop and had the id/od matched with the rotor and thinned down to 1.90mm. That is a perfect spec. According to my measurements 3mm will end up rubbing on the outside of the caliper. aye aye captain i...

How-to, 4Pot Brembo BBK on cheapish...

Ehh... I can try to take some measurements next time i take the wheels off. Maybe in week if i can figure out this master cylinder upgrade thing. But i don't have msp wheels so it will be a very rough estimate. I don't want anyone getting pissed off if i get it wrong though...

How-to, 4Pot Brembo BBK on cheapish...

i am running 245 45 17 tires, and they took alot of rolling, pulling, and swearing to get them to fit. Also i had to set my ride height close to stock, slightly lower. I do rub a bit on really big bumps. That Willwood kit is a great option at a very reasonable price. i was thinking about...

    MAF Delete Question

when on stand alone you keep the stock ecu for two reasons: 1. Not enough outputs or inputs to run everything 2. Too lazy to rewire and program everything

    MAF Delete Question

yes, i am running my haltech in parallel with the stock ecu. In my case all the stock ecu does is run the dash board (except for the tach-o). if you take a circuit away from the stock ecu it will trow a open circuit code.

    MAF Delete Question

For our cars the only way to get rid of the MAF is stand alone, if you go stand alone you will have a CEL. Nothing connected to stock ecu=CEL

How-to, 4Pot Brembo BBK on cheapish... Intro The EVO8/9 brakes are almost direct bolt-on on our cars. They fit very well but not perfect. There is about 5-7mm of wasted pad surface. It could be fixed with a larger rotor but over all they will function 100%. A few Mazdaspeed6 guys have been...

    MAF Delete Question

You cant get rid of the MAF on the stock ecu. Nothing you can do about it. It is a rudimentary component of how the stock ecu runs the engine.

two Carbon Fiber arm rest covers

Hi, well i wanted to produce these a while back along with a kit but i don't have the time or the equipment at the moment to produce them efficiently. I made these arm rest and they just been sitting at home. I have two beautiful pieces. If anyone is interested and im asking much less than the...

    No Start condition

well that is good news the injectors are firing. Rule of thumb if you pull out the spark plug and the white ceramic insulator under the electrode is black and filthy the plug is trash. There is no cleaning the plug if it is fouled. The reason is because the damage has already been done and the...

    No Start condition

assuming you have a back up of the your tune re-upload it. If you're not getting a signal to your injectors it could be something with going on with the ecu. From reading your post sounds like this may be the case.

    BEGI Turbo Manifold Setup Photos

someone correct me if i am wrong but to shed some light on this... as far as i know this manifold is intended to be used with a t3 turbo with a 5 bolt(post turbine) flange with an internal-wastgate system. I dunno if the kit ever included a down pipe but i think the best option would be to get...

    will 16x10 rub?

tweety2300 is defiantly right on this. 10" wide is just stupid on a protege. There isnt any room really. Im running +35, 8.5 with 245 tire and i myself think its pretty stupid and it required a lot of rolling and pulling to get them to fit.

PCM (ECU) is officially dead - options for replacement?

+1 If I remember correctly our ecu doesn't have that info stored in it. I passed smog here in VA with a mazdaspeed ecu(turbo) on my p5 with out any issue. Just plugged it in no changes or flashes, many people have done this with out any issue

[Q] Engine ticking when cold, stops when warmed up. Lucas Oil additive.

its because of the viscosity of the additive in cold weather. To put it in simple terms the oil is so thick that it is not able to lubricate the engine correctly.
