Osram Nightbreaker headlights - burnt out after a year

That's a biased source. He wants you to buy his overpriced obsolete filament bulbs. That's right they MUST use halogen bulbs. All the customer pics you see are fake. You should consult with Daniel Stern and his Paypal account for some old fashioned filament bulbs. You must also stay with stock...

Osram Nightbreaker headlights - burnt out after a year

On my previous car, I replaced the H11 bulbs with a replacement LED bulb. It's a huge improvement over the halogen bulbs. There are many plug and play LED kits you could try. Do some searching on Amazon and find a highly rated one, Prime with 4 stars or above, then return (at no cost) if...

    2013~2016 CX-5 Services/maintenance required?

I wouldn't spend the extra $$$ for the Mazda branded spark plugs, they are just rebranded NGK ILKAR7L11 plugs which are less than half the cost.

Any way to disable amber running lights?

OK, but it works, matches the side mirror signal, and gets rid of the continuous yellow light which is what OP wants.

Any way to disable amber running lights?

It works fine for me. No dash light, no hyperflash. Also want to mention it syncs up perfectly with the side mirror signal, unlike the filament bulb. OP doesn't want the bulb to be illuminated when headlights/parking lights are on so 7440 is what he wants.

Any way to disable amber running lights?

I use these bulbs I bought a few years back. They are very bright and aren't illuminated when the headlights are on, only when the turn signals are in use. https://imgur.com/gallery/jRUYfdb https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07V829HQF/ Those aren't available anymore but you could find another...

Downsizing to 16" wheels for MPG?

No issues. You always want to use hubcentric rings if the wheels aren't an exact match for the hub bore. I prefer aluminum hubcentric rings over the plastic ones.

Downsizing to 16" wheels for MPG?

I run 16s and upsized tires (225/75/16). You'll probably notice a bigger difference in ride quality and cabin noise (with the right tires, not all terrains) than you will with MPG. However whatever you're going to spend on a set of new wheels and tires will offset whatever MPG savings you would...

And that's VW, a mainstream German brand. Now imagine the cost of BMW or Mercedes parts and service.

Pressure washing the paint on your $40,000 car? On your concrete sidewalk, sure, on water based paint, not so sure! https://www.google.com/search?q=pressure+wash+on+car+paint Surely a hose and a towel would suffice?

    Mike's 2018 CX-9 Signature

Biggest factor is brake torqing. Magazines will always brake torque to get the best times because they don't care about longevity of the transmission. Then, there is also the BS of "rollout" subtracted times which give the car an extra .3 seconds over actual, real world times...

2023 CX-5 Turbo vs Premium Plus

I'm not that excited about some of the new models. More expensive and more problems. Also many critics and owners have complained about noise, vibration or ride quality, which is not the case (the opposite, actually) with the CX-5 which is half the price. Some of this is because of the low...

    Switched to 5W-30 from 0W-20

Toyota (a much larger company that sells a lot more heavy trucks and SUVs) uses 0W-16 and 0W-8 on some efficiency focused models. Not really relevant. Toyota also endorses a 10,000 mile oil change (seriously) to save substantial money on their "ToyotaCare" so they only have to pay for two oil...

    Switched to 5W-30 from 0W-20

That's why I was so surprised after I switched. The 2.5 is both a GDI and high compression ratio engine. I was annoyed I ran that thin oil for 3 years which is why I say it is a Day 1 upgrade. Negligible difference in fuel economy as well which is in the 24-25 range. I care more about the engine...
