    Switched to 5W-30 from 0W-20

Well, that is just my impression based off the way the oil looks and drains. The remaining viscosity is perfectly acceptable, but it's lower to begin with and towards the lower end of the range once it's been used. Either oil will protect the engine properly over the rated oil change interval...

    Switched to 5W-30 from 0W-20

"Better" is subjective. ;) Better for 1 extra mpg, yes, better for a quiet drive, no. Regardless of brand, like you said in post #5, 0W-20 "drains like pure water". I hadn't even considered that point when I switched, but it is very true. At the end of the oil change interval with 0W-20 it is...

    Steering Wheel Vibration

Yeah: https://mazdas247.com/forum/t/steering-wheel-vibration.123871205/post-6682593 @Ingridt it could be your tires. Check for uneven wear, or post a pic of the fronts. Uneven tire wear can cause vibration.

    Switched to 5W-30 from 0W-20

Interestingly, 5W-30 has close to twice the market share as 0W-20. https://www.statista.com/statistics/947951/distribution-motor-oil-sales-in-us-fast-lube-shops-by-weight-grade/

What are your favorite aspects of your CX-5?

If you appreciate a quiet and luxurious ride, consider switching to 5W-30. It's a huge upgrade, at just the cost (for me) of going from 24 mpg to 23 mpg (well worth it). Quieter during all normal driving, and noticeably so. Something I can recommend for all model years. Switched to it in 2022...

Poll My CX-5 transmission failed and was replaced

A change vote button, but no "no answer" and/or "just want to see results" choice.

Poll My CX-5 transmission failed and was replaced

So if you had a "no answer" choice in addition to "no problems" when you started the poll in 2016 it would have been more accurate. : p

Poll My CX-5 transmission failed and was replaced

This is a biased poll because it doesn't have a choice to view results without affirming no problems, or in other words giving no answer, so some people will not choose the "no problems" because they are a little superstitious and don't want to jinx it. I am one of those people, but I voted just...

    0w20 or 5w20

I wouldn't even bother with 5W-20. I switched from 0W-20 to 5W-30 several oil changes ago in 2022 and much, much prefer it. I don't care about the startup noise (though there is a pronounced difference), I do care about the noise while actually driving. There is about a 1 mpg difference, from 24...

Anyone know what the "A" in PE5R-18-110A spark plug means?

Same part, both are NGK ILKAR7L11 plugs (part number is on the spark plug) marked up at twice the price of the NGK branded plugs and packaged in a paperboard box with the Mazda logo and part number.

CX-70 will have same exterior dimensions as CX-90

I agree with others who say this was not the original plan. I think a near identical vehicle with only 3rd row seats removed is completely pointless as there are absolutely minimal cost savings to be had in just removing the 3rd row seats - unlike the CX-60 which would actually be a different...

Here's better quality versions, tried uploading original JPGs (too compressed to read) and in PNG (better, but still doesn't preserve the image quality). Now I know, have to use Imgur instead of the forum image upload to preserve image quality. Here: https://imgur.com/a/WTMmRV0

Mazda CX-5 and top competitors. I'm in year 5 of ownership and I am still very happy with the vehicle for the price paid. The Subaru Outback was the only other choice I was looking at because of the value and expected quality (did not drive the Subaru, but did drive a Honda CR-V...
