    P1498 is an OBDII code. The older cars simply flash the CEL when placed into diagnostic mode.

    I'm not sure you'll like having the 6-speed with the stock 4.3:1 diff. You may want to consider grabbing the 3.9 diff and axles from the wrecked car as well, especially if it's a TorSen (a superior unit to the early diffs). Everything bolts up and all guess work is removed.
