It's an easy swap, I'd recommend getting a non fouler online since it will look cleaner. The hardest part is making sure you get a header that has a egr valve connection that hooks up and then connecting them. Other than that it's an easy upgrade.

Yes they can come off. The cat can come off from the header and the downpipe. I've taken mine apart when I was taking it off for a aftermarket header. With rust it's not going to be easy you might have to drill into it if you can't get a socket on it for it to come apart.

I highly recommend getting A 4-2-1 header, I want one and they are extremely important for a NA build if you don't turbo (even light turbo). I'm still working on getting one.

Well it's hard to tell or give advice. If it were me I would just take the day to just take it all apart see if anything is cracked or broken (get the gasket first of course). It might be something loose that may re-seal itself under pressure or something due to that nature. I'm just spit ballin...

I'm glad my non fouler adapter didn't get messed up when my O2 got bent. Its not tight anymore unfortunately so you can turn it by hand so I just ran longer wires and just zip tied them to my fans hahahah
