I did a track day in my Cayman S last month. Got about 6 MPG and went through an entire tank of gas in 6 half-hour runs. In track mode, the engine RPM's seldom drop below 5000 and consistently runs right up to the redline limiter. Much fun.

Do the lights continue to operate normally, despite the warning? Since the LED headlights must be replaced as an entire--and costly--unit, reporting the warning light to the dealer during the warranty period might help you out if the light fails outside of the warranty.

I wonder if there is any way to turn off the resistance sensing function i.e. hyperflash to signal a burned out bulb. I'm guessing this could only be done by the dealer accessing the computer and disabling that function, if it can be disabled.

I don't think Mazda's (or any other OEM audio system, for that matter) can play audio books in Audible's native format. You probably can play them from a smart phone via Bluetooth or direct connection, though I have never have got my iPhone 5s to properly connect to the Mazda infotainment system...
