Most plane seats recline more, but it is a nice feature and provides a little more headroom for taller passengers. Too much recline and the seatbelt would not work properly. I just leave mine in the reclined position all the time because it just seems more comfortable to me.

Did you measure? It reclines from 24 to 28 degrees. Previous models were fixed at 22 degrees, so is reclined 2 degrees further back from the start. Anyway, here is a pic. About 1 3/4" to 2" or so at the top.

No, you are correct that 165 is fine for the 5 1/2" wheel. Also, notice Mazda is using 225's on our stock 17X7 and 19X7 wheels which is the max width available for a 7" rim.

It is a lot better now. I am getting 31 MPG consistently on long interstate trips averaging 75 MPH. Don't get up past 80 much, so can't comment on that, but I was averaging around around 27-28 MPG over same roads/speeds with previous model and both FWD. Diesel would be better for sure if you do...

The height when fully opened is about 82" from the floor, but as long as you pull a foot or so inside the garage door, it should clear as long as your ceiling inside the garage is normal height (8 to 10'). If not, you can adjust the max opening to a lower height as Aznbagel and ceric mentioned.
