    LinuxRacr's 2013 - 2014 New Build Thread

Thursday evening on the way home, I noticed that my Haltech air intake temp read -41 F! I knew this couldn't be right, so after verifying that it was plugged in tight, I determined that the sensor had finally went bad. Luckily this is a common sensor used in quite a few GM vehicles, so it is...

    LinuxRacr's 2013 - 2014 New Build Thread

I'm probably going to try to replace it with the one I got from Mazda. From my searches on Amazon.com, it seems to be this one: CIPA 36400 Wedge Auto Dimming Rearview Mirror with Compass and Temperature

Next is a wash and tuning. I also need new window tint, and also new auto-dimming rear-view mirror.

    LinuxRacr's 2013 - 2014 New Build Thread

So I was finally able to go and get my mid-pipe made. In order to get it done, I had to do a base tune just to be able to drive it to the shop. Next it is time for a wash!

Ok, so I was finally able to get the temporary exhaust pipe made for the wideband to go in so I can get to the exhaust shop. Here's to hoping I make it there... I used metal tie strap (and zip ties, but not in that order) to temporarily suspend the rear section of exhaust for the trip.

    Maxx Mazda's 2011 Build Thread

Wow, how did I miss this thread!! Good stuff in here. Did you happen to see the reinforcement plate from Ferdi?: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123837456-GB-5th-gear-plate-mod-transmission-brace-group-buy

Not sure I want to risk driving it without knowing the air-fuel ratio is right. I have to have a place to plugin my wideband O2 so I can tune and have assurances that I'm not running too lean. I waited this long to get my car running, and I don't want to be down again due to impatience.

What have you done to your MSP today?

Glad to see this manifold has found a great new home. I miss the simplicity of my old setup.

    LinuxRacr's 2013 - 2014 New Build Thread

This week was a big week, as I finally got my car started for the first time yesterday! More on that later.... One of the things I wanted to do right with this build is be able to torque down the manifold studs properly. In order to do this, I bought a torque adapter from Snap-On. It worked...

Turbo Manifold, Tial EWG, HKS BOV

Ok, so WHAT manifold is this if it is T3? Did Beau make any Sleeper manifolds with T3 flanges???

Switching stock MSP block to fs Ford Probe or 626 block?

I've used 626 blocks in my last two builds, with the MSP oil cooler. Hornsfan is right about the years and the blocks, and the cooler.

What VTA BOV's are you guys using?

It actually pushes air out at idle. If you put your hand in front you can feel it.

What VTA BOV's are you guys using?

It does stay open due to the small amount of force the compressor creates.

    200,000 miles club

I possibly could have the highest mileage MP3.. My Odometer says 242,528 miles, but I had to change gauge clusters early on at about 50,000 miles due to a indiglo gauge install gone wrong (remember those days?). So add those two together, and my car is somewhere around 300,000 on the chasis alone!

    Possibly selling production #4 MP3

    1. You may get better exposure in the proper for sale thread. 2. It may be helpful to put up some pictures if you haven't already. Be sure to check out the for sale section rules before posting if you haven't already.

I guess it IS a sleeper. I thought it was a Thumper due to the wastegate flange welded on. If it is a Sleeper, then the turbo flange is T2 not T3.
