The MPG on the CX9 SUCKS. I just took a trip from Atlanta to Daytona and only got 20 MPG on the Highway. I recently sold my Excursion Turbo Diesel. I got 19 MPG with my Diesel on the Highway. I also had 95,000 miles on it and was NEVER in the shop except for tires and oil changes.
