True for most BMWs from what i've read. Not sure why, environmental?

    CX-90 Reviews are out

I find car and driver to be big mazda fans, they've updated the CX90 page with the competitor ranking, and they still have it placing below the Koreans. But they do give it a 9/10 and above all other real options (Bronco and Raptor being above the CX90 but total niche buys IMO so I don't...

Will the CX-90 PHEV be gutless?

I guess. The heft would be fine if it had more useable space, so I'm starting to wonder what the benefit is to the pounds to offset the negative of hindering the HP.

Will the CX-90 PHEV be gutless?

I saw that, which is not so much a credit to the PHEV as it is a big question as to why this thing with 340 some odd HP isn't a rocket off the line.

    CX-90 Reviews are out

Ya, the MT article even commented the resulting hump affects the outboard passenger foot room. How big is the damn hump... Tricky to get in the back, odd seat configs, I'm not sure how the market will look at this. The bigger dimensions don't seem to have resulted in much benefit. Now, I can...

    Off Topic Retro Gaming

Got one of these few yrs back, has a catalog of games, best being the mario games and Super Sprint. https://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2018/02/01/nintendo-is-bringing-back-the-nes-classic-for-a-very-silly-reason/?sh=3a101d8b7364 After SNES, if I'm being honest, I couldn't handle gaming...

    CX-90 have arrived at dealers

Nice! My local dealer north of Toronto said sales will begin in the fall. Seems a bit far off, but he's a pretty good sales guy, senior and been there a while.

    Poll 2.5T Coolant Leak/Engine Replacement

True true, massive was a poor choice of word. But that's reassuring at least, if this new engine isn't hopefully trying to re-invent the wheel. I will time out of my lease in the early winter 2024 so I guess there will have been at least some time for the kinks to show. But clearly one is never...

    Poll 2.5T Coolant Leak/Engine Replacement

I'd never seen this savagegeese review of the CX9 before, but he gets right into the engine design at about the 10 min mark. I know very little about how engines are designed or work, but can one sort of infer from how the turbo 4 was made, that it was maybe trying to do too much and it...

    Mazda Canada CX-90 Trim Details

Yes, that was a no go for me before. Have a CRV with CVT and it's considered a good version and still I regret it every time I drive it. I havent driven a Pathfinder but read it does tend to need a heavy foot to get it really going quick, sort of opposite to the 9. Going from the touch the gas...

    Mazda Canada CX-90 Trim Details

Not gonna lie, I've been looking at a lot of Pathfinder photos lately. Obviously doesn't drive like a CX9 but priced nicely and tows well. I'm coming around on the looks. Every day I think maybe I'm better off dumping the problem of the cylinder head.

    Mazda Canada CX-90 Trim Details

Was looking at the build feature and using the 360 view. The rear bumper, or lack of, really does make that tailgate a potential point of contact. I mean, obviously one shouldn't be backing into anything even with the bumper, but I wonder if one did back up say into a wall in a parking garage...

    Mazda Canada CX-90 Trim Details

Agree. I also am a lot more forgiving of all this the more I dig into the CX9 cylinder head issue. If this thing handles, I'll overlook any nitpicks and dump my CX9 for any level with the big boy engine.

Will the CX-90 PHEV be gutless?

What? Isn't that like Tahoe heft?

    CX-90 competition

Yup. And not even really a big boat, 5000 lb limit IIRC. Actually lower than some of the midsize class like the Telluride and Pathfinder. No increase over the less than Grand Highlander.

    Latest CX-90 teaser (12/13/2022)

Yes and no. Same length now as an Atlas, but a good 4 inches up on a Pilot, Ascent, Telluride. That's not negligible in the same class. I find length is more limiting than width...height and wheelbase I don't really care. Escalades are a class size up and considered huge, but theyre now just...

    Latest CX-90 teaser (12/13/2022)

Ya I'm not in love with the rear, but I guess for the extra room i could live with it. Front seems more tweaked in looks rather than a full on change. My instinct is I like the current gen's looks better. Power #s don't blow me away, maybe I fell for the hype. I think for me this will come down...
