CX-70 will have same exterior dimensions as CX-90

I literally just got a truck and would be right there with a deposit if Mazda made one. Unfortunately, my CX9 will be a trade in so my time here might be limited...here until delivery at any rate. But with the CX70 news, maybe I'll be back! I got tired of waiting so got a Blazer in the spring...

    Mazda Memories

My buddy's dad had this one, it was a fun car and had a beautiful interior. We were 18 so it was plenty fast for us. They also had a Legacy (manual I think) and a loaded Accord. Sedan heyday.

Shopping for a CX-9, should I avoid 2020 and earlier?

I'd avoid. And I say that owning a 2019 (no issue yet) If you are thinking there's still some warrenty left or extended one tempts you, I'd also be wary. Denial of coverage is very possible, esp not knowing exactly where the previous owner did his service, and if he followed the schedule...

    Year 2 CX-90 changes?

It's not even about being a simple guy. I'm a bit OCD about details, but I dont like looking back and seeing all my junk in the rear when the 3rd row is down. The visual thru the gap in the seats would bother me. Esp with light colored seats contrasting the black/dark view in the rear. Going...

    Considering a CX-90 to replace my CX-9

Not sure OP is still looking, but if on a long shot he still is and is in Canada, rates on short 3 or 4 yr terms (4.65 and 5.30%) are pretty solid right now for Mazda. Not just for CX90s, but for that one, can be a good 2% below the competition. Nothing ground breaking, but not insignificant...

    Towing with your CX-9

Sorry, circling back to this, I realize I did forget to mention to check the tongue weight of the trailer. I find they vary massively, for ex Geo Pros can have UVW in the low 3000s but owners reporting tongue weights near 600 lb are not uncommon. And that tongue weight goes toward your payload...

    Towing with your CX-9

Yes it's a commonly mentioned difference on forums, FB etc. I have always suspected that it means a trailer sold in Europe is weighted differently than NA (I've not confirmed that), so while in theory a CX9 can haul the bigger lb, finding a trailer balanced with under 10% on the tongue locally...

    CX-90 Reviews are out

I did see those 2 reviews, I figured they would do a more in depth one, they generally do pretty comprehensive reviews and i think they alluded to such at the cali release. I think they do a great overview in their full reviews and speak to driving dynamics in more depth than others, so I hope...

    Towing with your CX-9

I would be worried about a WDH on a cx9, check the manual but even if allowed, still wonder about the wear and tear on a unibody. I was never able to find a hitch rating specifically but given the 10-15% rule, one can apply that to the 3500 lb limit and make an assumption. I run a small camper...

    CX-90 Reviews are out

Maybe I'm looking for negatives, but to me the SavageGeese review was a red flag. I don't like the idea of dumping 60k+ CAD on a vehicle with an untested engine and tranny, and so many lingering questions. At this point I'm only waiting for the Throttle House review. I feel they'd overlook...

CX-70 will have same exterior dimensions as CX-90

I would guess not a lot of Mazda owners will cross shop Chevy, but the Blazer RS seems a logical comparison at least for performance. Great power with 308 HP, torque vectoring so it has great dynamics, tows 4500 lb. Naturally if they could give it similar driving/capability but with a Mazda...

CX-90 pricing in Canada out of hand

I don't know what's out of hand anymore. I was watching the QX60 for the longest time, and now suddenly the sensory trim is almost 72k. I'm pretty sure that was recently 66k. MDX A Spec starts at 70k Suddenly the CX90 is looking better.

    CX-90 Reviews are out

I guess for me, it has a good amount of hp over the mdx/qx60 so that i expected more. But then again, it weighs more so I guess that is in play (who really expected it to weight the lb it does). It's actually a minor miracle that it has the dynamics it does, given it's pounds. That is more...

CX-90 (when to buy) after the Hype

Not about raining, I appreciate the insights. It's a lot of food for thought you've shared. I love my CX9 but I'm not married to mazda's 7 seaters or any mazda for that matter. Car needs to make sense. For me, I'm not sure this does. For me the most noteworthy concern is the power delivery...

    CX-90 Reviews are out

I just did 8 hrs this weekend driving for a weekend away, first drive in our other vehicle with touch screen. Just me in car so I was working the map and music alone. I'm sure I'll get more used to it, but really didn't enjoy it. Constant mis-hits (maybe icons smaller than avg? Maybe a screen...

    Need help from CX-90 Owners

To be fair, many non luxury brands have these. Like a 6 yr old CRV has some.

CX-70 will have same exterior dimensions as CX-90

That has my interest. Maybe a sportback style and 5 seats? That works great for me even with the large footprint.

    CX-90 Reviews are out

22 was the redesign, much shaper look. But the main thing is no CVT. A new transmission with gears (!), which changes the character altogether. Naturally aspirated V6, which is who knows how long of this world. I've yet to drive one, but reviews seem to say the dynamics are good but not...

    CX-90 Reviews are out

And this is the opposite from the CX9 which many of us are used to. Wonder if there's gonna be less uptake from current owners than what they expected. I mean, I was hoping the engine would be the difference maker but now, top line of this is within 4k CAD of the QX60-which also requires one to...

    CX-90 Drag race

Thanks for the link, been waiting on those guys. Disappointed at the not "exciting" comment. But still, hard to complain about what is in that video. Thomas is usually pretty open with criticisms, despite just making a few comments to driving dynamics in the video, it sound like he likes the...
