Thinking ahead to the summer, anyone know a place that refinishes wheels for not ridiculous prices?

Hrm, considering the cost of getting the car up here and then the work to do the trans, I'm less inclined at that. My car does need a new trans considering that 3rd gear is non-existent, but I've been living with it like that for almost 4 years, and I have a spare trans in CT. Thanks though.

Sooo much like the mafia, the Mazda is pulling me back in. Might make a condensed effort to put the Mazda back on the road, since my friend said he'll fix the rust/dents for me. We shall see. Could be the beer talking.

Ha, thanks Sean. I can't even look at other cars right now. Quite pissed. I think I'll start up the Mazda when I get home, just for kicks.

Returning the car to the dealer due to noise in the bottom end, unless he rebuilds the engine at no charge.

I hate cars. I should stick to bikes. That is all.

Mahk, did you get the one that's on sale? Mine was $120, normally $199.

Mmmmm carbon. I put a carbon stem on and new Zipp SL bars last month, fits sooo much better. Make sure you get a proper fit for the bike.

Ha, me either. My first ever aftermarket CD player was an Alpine, I got that in Dec 2003. Had it in my Corsica, Taurus and Probe, then sat for 6 years until last month when I put it in Ryan's car after his Xplode...exploded. Works great, 10 years later. Amazing.

Drove home last night from CT in the snow, car handled beautifully, I felt so much safer in the thing. I also ended up buying a new Alpine cd player with bluetooth so now I can stream music from my phone without plugging it in. I hate wires.

I've used JN Phillips before and they were excellent.

Sorry Dan, it's a bit of a haul to get down there and my budget was pretty low.

Ha yeah, I do yoga and plyometrics once a week. Body weight workouts are great for core muscles as you're way less likely to injure yourself, and yet they leave me sore for days afterwards.

So far, loving it. Taking it on it's first long drive tomorrow morning...dropping Ryan off at Logan so he can fly to Shanghai then driving to CT. I guess I'll get to find out how it is in the snow this weekend, too.

It's amazing at how much components cost without the frame attached. My bike is mostly aluminum with CF fork/seatpost/seat stays, but I didn't buy it as a complete package, rather bought everything separately. Doesn't hurt that the shop I go to is owned by a really good friend so I wouldn't say...

Oh, very nice! Is that an FSA crankset I see? I rode inside for 2 hours last night, haven't been riding much lately due to things, but hopefully back on the horse this week. Brought the bike up to the shop yesterday, and if my seat was a couple inches lower, the bike could stand up sans-front...

Thanks Chris. I actually have the sound system in the Mazda that going to be moved over, which includes an amp for the speakers. I'll probably only move the headunit over right now and put in the amp along with new speakers in the spring.
