Thanks for posting. I am going to change the filter / drop pan in my 150k fluid change. I haven't been doing any analysis oil or otherwise for many years now, but am probably going to send one off for this transmission fluid drain fill + filter replacement / pan drop.

I have them too. Very happy with them. The stock factory Yokohama Geolandar G91A in 225/65R17 were total crap. One of mine started developing bubbles in the sidewall a little after 18k so they all got replaced.

Where did you end up ordering the new bolts from?

Yeah if I do end up trying this myself, I am inclined to try the gasket myself and since I plan to own this car long-term still, make it easy for any future pan drops.

I like them a lot for those same reasons. The handling is excellent and they are a quiet tire. Can't speak much on wet traction as I haven't driven them through any heavy rain.

Also a big part of why manufacturers keep pushing out oil change intervals. Can some cars do that? Yes. But I'd say a lot burn up oil between intervals and extending out the oil changes is going to be trouble for the vast majority who aren't regularly checking their oil levels but are going 10k...

I don't know for sure, but that's how I'd interpret it. My car is from 01/2013 on the door sticker, so just a month after yours. I'd assume I'd want the part that is To 5/13/2013. I'd read "from" 5/13/2013 as any car made on that date or later.

I'm due another drain and fill at 150k miles (30k since my last one done at 120k). I have never dropped the pan, but I think I want to just because of where the mileage is now. I also am interested in replacing the strainer. But would also like the see how the bottom of the pan is looking...

Huge nope. Looks like all the climate controls are now a touch screen. Number one turn off of a car for me these days is converting easily usable analog controls that can be identified and manipulated by feel into touch screen controls that are often nested in menus requiring one to look to find...

Everything is. :( 146,000 miles just about on mine. Needs an oil change at 147k, and 150k it will be time for spark plugs and transmission fluid again.

Ouch, hurts just looking at that rust. I haven't done the rears on my 2014 but I've seen a few videos. I imagine the hardest part will be getting out the rusted bolts.

Kinda crazy what 12 years does...and I guess part of it is Mazda trying to move their brand up-market. My 2014 AWD Touring was $25,500 before taxes/fees in 2013.... Back then you also only had 3 trim options, so was the mid-trim too. Probably the equivalent of a base trim these days though...
