Shut off TCS for a day!

About the 3-year/36K mile roadside assistance program, will Mazda still assist but charge the person for the assistance?

Shut off TCS for a day!

I tested mine with TCS off and noticed no mpg improvement and no acceleration difference. Mine is the sport trim which doesn't have all the whistles and bells that other trims have. No radar, no lane assist etc. It does have CD.

New CX-5 with a cracked windshield

My previous car got a stone hit. Safelite did an excellent job replacing the windshield. My gripe was they first tried to fix the windshield, and it looked totally fixable, and the guy came back and said the windshield broke trying to fix it and I would need to replace it. They didn't let me...

First oil change on 2020 CX-5 Signature: WTF Surprise?

I can't get my filter off by hand either. And the valve isn't detrimental to engine life if you change the oil regularly. But it doesn't drain as effectively. Removing the plug lets the oil gush out fast and more completely. In theory there shouldn't be any particles in the oil pan since the...

Shut off TCS for a day!

It is hard to get an exact test because of so many variables, even the amount of weight of the gas as it is used up. The car would have to be fully warmed up, and drive a loop with no stop lights. Maybe a 10 mile loop. I didn't have to drive my car today.

Shut off TCS for a day!

You guys have me ready to turn off my TCS to see if I get the same results on my next rides. Mine gets good mpg as is, I will see if I notice a difference.

So the rear brakes are pretty bad

Anyhoo, so the rotors rusted out on all 4 corners at 6,100 miles. The Mazda service center confirmed that it was indeed dangerous and needed to be replaced Is your car parked outside? I think it has to be a manufacturing defect, I never heard of rotors rusting out by 6,100 miles to the point of...

    2013~2016 CX-5 Belt Tensioner - Shouldn't this be a warranty item?

So your tensioner lasted about 64,000 miles. Right?

2017~2025 3 Year Warranty ending this month: Any service suggestions?

Starfish did you find any warranty work? Mine is about to expire, I was thinking the same thing, I would hate to miss out on a repair that should have been covered under the 3 year warranty. I guess I don't have anything to get fixed. 3 years goes by fast. I didn't put enough miles on to get the...

What happened to the wheels and brakes section?

Wasn't there a Wheels and Brakes section where people talked about wheels and brakes? Anyway, I rotated my tires and my back brakes look to have 25% left on them, and my front brakes look to have 80% left on them. Is this typical?

Anyone install a CX-5 cold air intake?

I randomly picked one of the old Odd Rod trading cards from the internet, for the picture. As a kid I loved Odd Rod bubble gum cards. I was being a little sarcastic because a CX-5 is meant to be quiet and refined for sophisticated gentlemen and people want to make it louder and faster and some...

2018 CX-5 Oil Leak? Is this TSB for Tensioner?

I guess they will reuse the valves and timing chain and everything else, and install them into the new cylinder head and you will have an almost like new engine. You will have to drive it easy at first as it breaks in.

2018 CX-5 Oil Leak? Is this TSB for Tensioner?

Fantastic pictures. That job is like a million dollars lol. I guess pulling it apart is cheaper than putting in a new engine. Maybe there is a shortage of engines, who knows. The carbon build up doesn't look bad, and your engine is nice and clean.
