Going rate for front brake job?

$516 for one end seems within the ballpark of what I've seen. 10% off of that is $464.40. Honestly probably not too bad. When I last did brakes myself in 2023, I did all 4 and parts alone cost me $300 for all of it. So figure parts + labor to have a shop do it on one end and I think $400-$500...

    2013~2016 CX-5 Gear Selector Light?

2014 owner here with the same gated shifter. No light.

    Lack of fluid change intervals

I would say there's elements of truth to both arguments here. We all absolutely know what the bean counters mean by "lifetime". The fact you can email and call up MazdaUSA and ask them what they mean by "lifetime" and they hem and haw over it and don't give you anything close to a straight...

    Lack of fluid change intervals

Good plan. I just hit 150k on my 2014 and servicing the transmission, rear differential, and transfer case are all on the list. Did the spark plugs today. There is a transfer case if its an AWD model. April of this year will mark year 13 for mine since owning it (purchased April 20, 2013), but...

2013~2016 CX-5 New Spark Plug Time

Hi all, Finally got around to changing the spark plugs today. As I thought I remembered, the Mazda OEM spark plugs I purchased from Med Center Mazda for my 75k change indeed also possessed NGK's "ILKAR7L11" branding / model number. Physically these looked identical to the brand new NGK...

What did you pay for your CX-5?

I was thinking more the giant touchscreen and lack of physical controls. How they think a touchpad is better than a knob for "human centric" controls and lack of distraction is beyond me.

What did you pay for your CX-5?

I'd be ok with hybrid, but KODO is dead and gone in the new model imo.

    Mazda CX-40 Rumors

The hybrid option sounds interesting. Interested to see where this goes. What infotainment system does the CX-60 have? Good one or the giant tablet? :ROFLMAO:

Where did you get best price for Mazda Extended Confidence / Warranty?

I've had to replace the lower control arms and struts and will probably do the shocks this year. Really the biggest maintenance cost items for me, but I mean that was still after 10+ years owning the car so warranty pointless.

Where did you get best price for Mazda Extended Confidence / Warranty?

150k on mine. Warranty pointless. Still would have cost more than the repairs I've done to the lock actuators, shifter switch, and belt tensioner. All else has been maintenance items really.

What did you pay for your CX-5?

I agree. No single model can be all things for all markets.

How many Drain & Fills before full transmission/filter service?

How did it go, and how did the condition inside look?

How many Drain & Fills before full transmission/filter service?

I last did a drain and fill at 120k miles. I'm nearing 150k and really am thinking would be good to drop the pan and replace filter, clean up the pan / magnet. But I'll be honest, I don't want to do the work. But I need to find a trustworthy shop to do it.

    Brake Fluid Change Frequency

Get a tester and check it every now and then. Are you at 3% or more moisture? Then you know it's time to change. If not, then you are good. Take the guess work right out of it.
