    Targeting A Dealership?

Except for conveniently scheduling a test drive, you shouldn't be targeting a dealership at all. You should be targeting the car you want at the best price. Don't forget, inventories constantly change, and if needed, a dealer can either do a swap with another dealer if they don't stock the car...

    Windshield made of sugar???

78,000 miles. No windshield issues. Sometimes it's just dumb luck.

    Disable Door Lock Verification Horn?

Yes--don't press the lock button a second time. The entire point of this function is to get an audible alert that the doors are locked. So press once, and look with your eyes to see that the car is locked. Or press 2x and alert your neighbors.

Thoughts on getting a '18 Signature

It's your car, so it's up to you. Me--personally--now that I see the new features for '19, I wouldn't get an '18.

I'm looking into getting a CX-9in San Diego. AWD vs FWD?

I can't see any value in AWD for an SUV in San Diego.

    Dimming Dash Lights

My '12 also allowed you to press the dimmer knob to put the IP in night mode--can you still do that on the 2nd gen?

Thoughts on getting a '18 Signature

Personally, I think the Signature interior upgrade is well worth it. But it's a matter of personal opinion.

Thoughts on getting a '18 Signature

There's not much difference between '18 and '19, but if you buy an '18 in August, depending on how long you keep it, $2000 savings will get eaten up if you don't keep your car for a longer period of time, because when you go to sell/trade, it's valued as a full MY older, even though you would...

Thoughts on getting a '18 Signature

Since you have reported that your sister said the dealer is saying that '19s are inbound and weeks away, that doesn't seem like a great deal to me (the purchase--I can't say anything about the trade). With 19s on their way, the dealer should be wheeling and dealing to clear out 18s. When I...

    Any word on 2019 changes?

Mazda has tended to be on the later side when coming out the the new MY for this generation. The all new '16s didn't come out until Spring of '16, when many other models were introducing (or had already introduced) '17s, so then the '17s came out late, as did the '18s; but the '17s and '18s...

CX-9 is full of hot air (Literally)

Doesn't the air flow thru the engine compartment? I'm not sure that non A/C air coming thru the vents is the ambient temp.

    Any word on 2019 changes?

And get out and have to manually fold each side? -- ain't nobody got time for that! And to say that they fold if they are struck--I'm not sure what kind of impact you think the glass with withstand if they are "accidentally struck", but I'm sure if you poll city dwellers that parallel park...

    Review: CX-9 vs. Subaru Ascent

Whether or not paddle shifters a worthwhile addition on an SUV, I just don't get the point on a CVT at all. It's completely contrary to how the CVT works--NO GEARS.

    Review: CX-9 vs. Subaru Ascent

Out of curiosity, what's to "hate" or "drive you nuts" about paddle shifters? If you don't like them, then you don't have to use them, right?
