You may be able to get the dealer to make it a CPO when you buy out the lease for a small fee. Esp if you've already put new tires. That will add 1 year/12k miles to the basic warranty and get the powertrain warranty to 7 yrs/100k miles
You probably added way too much from the can. Have you installed a new cabin air filter that is more restrictive than the OEM ones? That can hurt air flow
If he left Mazda in 2019 he doesn't know about the cylinder head cracks or burning oil issues in the 2.5T or the fixes. None of those would have been prevented with 3000 mile oil changes. Those are the only real issues modern Mazda turbos have had.
