According to Mazda's web site: Note: map updates are free for 3 years after vehicle reaches 63 miles. I've never seen that expiration message & I've updated my maps 3 times.

I add the upselling dealers to my list of dealerships I won't be doing business with. Personal experience has shown them to also not be flexible under normal times.

Based on the original post, I also added the Etrailer 2" hitch & was going to to order the same 1UP single as the OP. A local bike shop price matched an online price on a Kuat Sherpa 2.0 that was too good to pass up so I opted for that instead. I do like the 1UP but the Kuat also suited my needs...

Mazda Toolbox lists my expiration date as the 3 year anniversary of when I took delivery of my CX-5.

Speaking of hand tools. My first new car, a 1974 Chevy Vega always had a lump under the carpet in the rear driver's side passenger floor. Several years into the ownership I pulled up the carpet while running some wires and found a pair of pliers stuck to the floor under the carpet.

FWIW, I went with the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 rack. Local bike shop price matched 20% off online price. Works great & looks good (IMO) on my GTR. Quick & easy to put on & off GTR.
