I’ve noticed a ticking when my fan starts up, but it disappears after a few minutes. Volume is fine, but I just changed the cabin air filter, which got it back to normal. 16.5, original fan, 5 years old.
Don’t you just hate it when someone points out a minor annoyance you hadn’t noticed, and then you just can’t unhear it?
I say turn up the tunes and cover it up.
Before going 63 miles(?), I did a diskcopy, which should create an exact dup of the original card, except it didn’t copy the unlocked license file (not yet locked to the vehicle).
To create a backup, I tried it using a windows diskcopy. It did not work.
Apparently the license file didn’t come along for the copy. Looked at both SD cards showing hidden files and they were identical. Must be deeply hidden lol.
Passive not equal to Inattentive
I am constantly scanning forward and rearward for other vehicles and hazards.
Passive, but ready to react. Just want to not have to also tweak steering constantly.
I disagree. On a long drive, constantly adjusting to center your car takes effort and attention, and reduces your capacity to observe what else is going on around you. You only have so much attention, and I’d rather save mine for defensive driving rather than rote steering.

On a long drive, I’m looking to reduce fatigue the the lowest level possible. On a twisty road, I’m looking for sharp driving dynamics. Is there something wrong with wanting both in the same vehicle?
Mazda is the only major manufacturer that doesn’t offer lane centering. Time to remedy that to...
