    Mazda Infotainment Settlement

The main plaintiffs got less than like $20k to split between the 3 or 4 of them (no joke). Really not clear if those who file claims will get full reimbursement or not. Attorney's fees disclosed but not a pool of money to split from my understanding.

    Mazda Infotainment Settlement

https://www.mazdainfotainmentsettlement.com/ My mother in law got a settlement notice in the mail a few days ago. It’s for her 2018 CX-5 that she no longer owns. Wanted to share here for awareness, see details pulled from the official source linked above. I replaced her screen last year due to...

Source for quality full CX-5 front strut assembly at reasonable price?

I could also be confusing the wheel sizes for suspension tightness between my 1st and 2nd gen. My ‘13 had 17” wheels and my ‘23 has 19” wheels. My ‘23 has a stiffer ride all around vs my old ‘13 (I think that feeling folks would describe as “sporty”). My ‘23 and my mother in laws ‘18 (also 19”...

Source for quality full CX-5 front strut assembly at reasonable price?

Yeah, they were great. Over tens of thousands of miles it’s hard to tell how much your suspension feel changes. I drove at least 40k miles on the new suspension with the KYB struts and shocks and they held up well. Fixed body roll in tight turns, car didn’t dip while braking. Negative comments...

    Costco gas

I have pretty cool route options where I live (TN valley). Lots of hills, rural backroads, and my home is on a small mountain with couple hairpin turns. I was hoping to notice some sort of difference with 87 vs 93 with “spirited” mountain driving but man, I just don’t. That’s not disappointing...

    Costco gas

My personal verdict: I can’t tell a difference in day to day driving between Costco 87 and 93 octane with my 2.5T. You really have to give this car the beans and be in sport mode to try to keep it from shifting prior to 4k rpm’s. I’ll save the 50 cents a gallon and stick with 87. Changing my...

    CX-5 Beauty Shot Thread

I’ve never been one to name my cars but I did after getting the CX-5. That one is Eve, and I retroactively named the RAV4 Gert(rude).

    Costco gas

My ‘23 hasn’t had a single tank of non Top Tier fuel. I ran Costcos higher octane for my ‘23s first 3k miles. I then ran Marathon 87 octane almost exclusively for the last 17k miles with the occasional tank of Chevron 87 octane. Marathon has a great free rewards program that my wife and I both...

    Costco gas

Bringing back a very old thread as the title is, well, perfect lol. I didn’t catch this last year, supposedly Costco has reformulated all grades of fuel to prevent intake valve deposits on both port and direct injected designs. Don’t ask me how effective it is or how valid the claim may be but...

    When idling intermittent car shaking

That’s awesome news, I’m so glad it was an easy fix!

    When idling intermittent car shaking

Let’s get the easy ones out of the way just as a sanity check. Is the air filter box closed and secured tight and proper? Is the engine oil cap screwed in all of the way? Throwing those out there in case a service technician might have goofed.

https://mazdas247.com/forum/t/cx-5-strut-and-shock-replacement.123853824/post-6708223 See post here for a side by side comparison of my old OEM strut to a KYB complete assembly. I got to enjoy KYB shocks and struts for a little over 30k miles before my car was totaled. No complaints, 10/10...

First Transmission Drain and Fill on 2016 CX-5

The first time I drained my old ‘13’s ATF with 50k miles of use, it didn’t look blue at all. It looked dark maroon. Like the color was most definitely not blue and made me question FZ fluid as the appropriate replacement as well as my sanity. Did 3 drain and fills with OEM FZ and didn’t touch it...

2nd Gen CX-5 Front Grille Replacement

I finished the replacement today. It went ok other than forgetting to move a couple small plastic parts from the old grill to the new one. I didn’t notice I forgot to reuse the plastic pieces that go between the top painted fascia and the headlights. I’m hoping there won’t be a whistle or wind...
