What is a good three season tire?

@integ3 Not sure if you got your new tires or not, but I LOVE the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s. The road grip they have is extraordinary, even in the wet. Like you I have a seperate setup for winter, so these tires are perfect for me for not-winter. The ONLY drawback is with the...

2015 CX-5 OEM pad/rotor/hardware (MazdaSwag) and brake fluid flush

@Kedis82ZE8 Just submitted my order to MazdaSwag for the same parts you ordered. The prices seem to have dropped slightly. My total before shipping was $496.34 for all the same part #s. I won't be installing it all myself, my regular mechanic doesn't mind me bringing OEM parts to install. I'll...

2015 CX-5 OEM pad/rotor/hardware (MazdaSwag) and brake fluid flush

@Kedis82ZE8 Did MazdaSwag send you any value line (MV) parts, or were they the regular ones? I'm thinking of ordering all those same parts for my brake job, but don't want any MV parts.

    Spark plug dilemma (2014 CX-5)

As I posted in a different thread on here, I just purchased these same plugs last week from Amazon. Identical to A, B, C & D above. The resistance readings on mine were all within spec. I went one step further and contacted Niterra North America. After I sent them pics of the plugs and the code...

Unsettling Experience with Stealership: Transmission and spark plug service

Installed them today. Pic is of the NGKs I took out with 74,715 miles on them. 30 minute job. Engine runs fine. If you are going to do your own plugs, I highly recommend using a spark plug socket like this one. It has internal clips to hold the plug securely, makes the job so much easier and...

Unsettling Experience with Stealership: Transmission and spark plug service

Actually, I just made sure that it was Amazon as the seller. Both times I ordered I got genuine NGK. Here's the link to what I ordered: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P179CW4/

Unsettling Experience with Stealership: Transmission and spark plug service

I received my plugs from Amazon. A visual inspection (per the numerous videos online) made them appear to be genuine. Then I did the resistance test as specified in this video and they passed (values were 5.22, 5.46, 5.94 and 6.24). And finally, I reached out to Niterra North America. I got a...

Unsettling Experience with Stealership: Transmission and spark plug service

Oh I definitely will. I did check the ones I got in 2018 and they were legit, so I'm hoping the supplier is still selling the legit ones. If not, back they go. And by the way, this video is excellent on how to spot the difference. https://youtu.be/vpH4O14EBxA?si=GoD4I6SelELwiaEu

Unsettling Experience with Stealership: Transmission and spark plug service

I just bought 4 of the NGK plugs (94124 - ILKAR7L11) for $38.88 on Amazon (they arrive today). It's the same supplier I bought my last set from in 2018. I installed those at 66K miles and I now have 135K miles on my CX-5, so time for another change. The NGK plugs have performed flawlessly.

    Failing exhaust muffler, any experiences?

As search on here about mufflers pretty much comes up with just folks wanting to change theirs out for performance gains. My question instead is has anyone had to replace their muffler because it was failing? Mine seems louder than it used to be, but it doesn't leak or anything, it's just a bit...

    Replacement Keyless Key? 2013 CX-5

It is an involved locksmith process if you only have one fob. If you have 2 fobs, you can program a 3rd one by yourself (procedure in the owner's manual) and just have the emergency key cut at a hardware store. So when I lost one of my fobs (2014 CX-5), I bought 2 replacements online and had the...

Doing the brakes when you're old...

Chuckling at all the above comments as I'm in somewhat the same boat - I turn 70 next month. Last month, with great effort as usual, I swapped out my Blizzak DM-V2 snow tires for my summer Michelin Sport Pilot 4 A/S tires. I always wash and wax the tires/wheels that I take off before I store...

    2024 CX-5 Door sill options?

Finally received these a few days ago and put them on today. They are a pretty thick vinyl and are very well made. The entire back is a strong adhesive, they are easy to place and conform nicely to the curves in the plastic. Hopefully they will hold up long term. Front Rear
