    Has anyone noticed?

There's a physics term for that...maybe venturi effect? Anyway, I noticed to DO have a fair amount of crud on the bottom part of the inside of the front doors, so I guess the splash guards don't stop the problem. there is a big ol' gasket lining the bottom of the door, though. I guess it...

It the Ford Edge competition for the CX-7?

The Edge does not have 3 rows of seats...it is a 5 seater. the CX-9 while on the same chassis with similar powertrain is a 7 seater. The Edge is positioned as a young persons lifestyle vehicle as is the CX-7. The CX-9 is a replacement for minivans ands larger 7 passenger sport-utes in the Mazda...

    Has anyone noticed?

Do you all have the optional splash guards? I wonder if spray coming from the front wheels is getting past the door seals creating the problem. I haven't noticed it yet (after four whole days of ownership) but I have the optional dealer installed hard splash guards.

It the Ford Edge competition for the CX-7?

Whether you admit it or not, the two vehicles compete for market share and are pointed to the same demographic. Mazda will always have the lower volume car and be on the advanced edge of the available technology. Ford is absolutely convinced its customers do not want to be early adopters of...

    ages of cx_7 owners!

31, here. Seems to be a cluster of people all about the same age...wonder if it fits Mazda's demographic research?

    Can't decide

Will do when the Michigan weather clears up for 10 seconds so I can get a good shot without getting my new digital camera wet.

    Headrests

My wife feels the same way in most new cars, including the CX-7. It really rubs her the wrong way. It is not problematic for me.

    RX-8 Died, got a CX-7 loner

Hate to hear about bad serivce. that's one main reason I got rid of my Chrysler 300C for the Mazda is I've always gotten better service from Mazda dealers. as for lag? I haven't owned a turbo car since my 1989 Probe GT. compared to that car, this car has negligeable lag. I really think it drives...

    Gas Price Prophesy

Something nobody here has mentioned is that BP had BIG problems with the Alaska pipeline and had intermittent shutdowns on thier largest field to fix the pipe. Prices soared higher artificially on speculation. This was only a couple months after katrina when the problems begain...they hit full...

    Tire Questions

Sorry, I posted this thread in the wrong forum. I am new to it and wasn't paying attention. Mods, I understand if you move it. Anyway, after a day of driving (about 70 miles here and there with a mix city highway) I like the Goodyears very much.

    Tire Questions

Just Today I picked up my Patinum GT, non-tech with Moonroof/Bose package. So far, so good. I thought I was getting a Bridgestone shod car, as all the examples on the dealer lot that were GTs were so equipped. Mine came in on dealer trade because they didn't have exactly what I wanted. I didn't...

    Musings (Gripes) About the CX-7

So far I only wish for memory seating positions, auto lock and unlock for all the doors when the driver locks/opens their door and auto on headlights when the wipers go on. I think that feature (which was on my last car) is far more important than DRLs. I can't believe how many people don't turn...

    Can't decide

Not that I'm you or you're me, but I decided (with the omnipresent input of my lovely wife) on the CX-7 over the mazdaspeed6. I really liked them both and since I need one versatile vehicle, the CX won.

    Is the seat comfortable?

I am picking up my Liquid Platinum GT W/Moonroof-Bose package tomorrow and trading my 05 300C. My c was among the first 2000 made way back in April of 04 and your assessment is spot-on. Loved the car, hated the build quality. Build quality on the later models is much better, but one thing that...
