    I think I'm waiting for a 2010 speed

I thought about waiting for the 2010 MS3, but went ahead and bought a 2009 model. I figured I didn't want a first model year car like the 2010. I remember reading about lots of issues with the 2007 MS3's so the 2010's will probably have their issues as well. Came real close to buying a 370Z...

    Will this setup work?

Contact Good-Win-Racing.com. I think I saw pics of a Speed 3 (or maybe a regular 3) from there with 17" RPF1's. They'll probably know if there are caliper clearance issues or anything. Keep us posted... that is a setup that I wouldn't mind trying.

What are you guys paying for mounting/balancing tires?

Damn I miss my Type R with its puny 15" wheels! Mounting/balancing tires on that car was cheap (as were the tires themselves). Today I had my first experience trying to get tires mounted on 18" rims. All the places I've called are quoting $30-40 per wheel! They are all saying its because...

What have you done to your MS3 today?

I did the same thing... a month or so ago. Sick of seeing road crud all over the sides of my white MS3. Anyways, I just ordered up a set of sticky Kumho XS tires in 225/45-18. Can't wait to see how much more grip I get over the stock rubber.

225/40-18 vs. 225/45-18 tires on stock wheels with stock suspension

Actually, with the Kumho XS, the 225/40 is $25 cheaper per tire than the 225/45. At any rate, I think I'm leaning towards the 225/45-18. I worry that the fender gap would be huge with the 225/40 and stock suspension. I don't plan on lowering the car, so the 225/45 might be my best bet.

225/40-18 vs. 225/45-18 tires on stock wheels with stock suspension

Damn, finding performance tires for our cars is a b****. The only thing that interests me in the factory 215/45-18 size is that new Yokohama AD08, but they are pretty pricey. I'm leaning towards that new Kumho XS. It's relatively inexpensive and all the autocrossers I know say it's real...
