Has anyone found a rear diffuser to replace that dull black piece?

Turbo23 is correct. Rear diffusers have an almost negligible effect unless the entire underside of the car is a flat sheet. Also for diffusers to be effective they cannot slope up at a super steep angle. The one we churned out at work for a top speed salt flats car I think was between 7-9deg...

Oil oil brand and weight for 24k miles

Both synthetics and dino oil are still made from petroleum. If you really want to learn about oil, head over to Bob is the oil guy, http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/cms/. I personally use Castrol 0W-30 which is also called German Castrol. If you look at the cSt #'s it tests closer to a 40W oil at...

What car did you have at 16?

I had a 96 Saturn SL2, DOHC motor. It was passed down from the parents. It was a great car, 5 speed, leather, and got 34mpg doing 85 with 4 people and a trunk full of stuff. Parents sold it while I was in college. I was actually the only kid, of 4, that didn't destroy their first car.

    Which type of gas/fuel/octane?

Here in GA we have 93, but everything here has the "can contain 10% ethanol" note. The ethanol is used as an affordable octane booster, to a certain extent, by the gas companies. I would love to try and run E85, but it would require some heavy fueling. I have seen some Subby's running 28+ lbs...

dropped a ratchet head in my radiator fan

Why not go ahead and invest in the tools, honestly they aren't that expensive. My ramps and socket set are the most used tool in my garage. Also every bolt on these cars is pretty much metric so buying a metric socket set was a no brainer for me.
