2018 Touring rattle on passenger door

Yup had same issue even when my vehicle was less than a year old at the time. Took it to dealer one time during a routine maintenance schedule but dealer said they would remove panels on dash and possibly passenger door side panels so long story short I just left it alone as there was too much...

    Brakes Servicing - recommended?

I figured especially with the mileage I have and considering I just had the brakes inspected last fall during a routine maintenance work that this wasnt necessary. My prev Volvo XC60 had brakes serviced (pads replaced) only once in my 7yrs of ownership. Ill have the brakes inspected on my next...

    2017 Signature lemon?

Maybe the only solution would be to drive a full electric vehicle but again this depends on the commute. If just within the city then EVs would suffice as you don't have to stop during the day just to recharge. When you get home just plug it in and leave it overnight up until the next morning...

Looking at the CX-9 from the other side?

BS to you but not to me...we can agree to disagree so let's just leave it at that and just troll somewhere else...still looks like a minivan to me and I won't even consider it just for the looks and the brand image...Sedona best looking minivan? Maybe in your eyes as that's subjective...I don't...

Looking at the CX-9 from the other side?

Maybe...but both are still a Kia/Hyundai so I won't buy either of them. They're not know for driving dynamics and not sure what their DNA is other than value. At least with Mazda they stuck to their DNA of driving matters...

Looking at the CX-9 from the other side?

I've driven a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe XL Ltd trim for 3K Kms in span of 2 wks last summer and while that vehicle is different than the Sorento I am pretty sure that it shares most of the under pinnings and parts with its sister company. Maybe their tunings and cabin design differ but for most of...

Looking at the CX-9 from the other side?

Not a defense...just an observation as I would rather get relevant info and feedback from existing CX9 owners in this forum than from trollers who simply rants and gives unsolicited advice eventually not contributing anything useful but we don't always get what we want right? My point for the...

Looking at the CX-9 from the other side?

Don't give in to the "troll"...he doesn't even own a CX9 but always on this forum posting...sure owns a Mazda but a sedan and not the CX9...anyway go search Kia forums and you'll find A LOT of issues with the Sorento as well...no brand is exempt from zero or no reliability issues. The only good...

    2016 CX-9 Heater... weak?

yup experiencing same issues...heater not that hot to my liking (even my Ford Escape produces warmer air thru vents) and the rear windows fog up despite all climate control set to "auto"...it maybe a design issue just saying. My prev vehicle (a Volvo) never had any issues with passenger side...

    2017 CX-9 Signature, Vibration on Highway when 65 mph+

Been dealing with minus 25- minus 30 deg C in our area as of late and no vibration issues experienced so far...

    Window lock button illuminated?

Oh...now i get what you're referring to. I don't think the button is illuminated...my prev suv (Volvo) had that button illuminated and seems Mazda has cheapened out on little details like that. Even the door-light function switch on the overhead console isn't lighted! Oh well...

Looking at the CX-9 from the other side?

There are more and more manufacturers putting chrome accents on vehicles nowadays esp in mainstream brands so whether you like it or not or where on the vehicle they put them this seems to be the trend in the industry

Looking at the CX-9 from the other side?

The front of the Pacifica looks better than the Sorento...unfortunately the Sorento looks more like a minivan disguised as an SUV similar to rides like the Pilot

    Window lock button illuminated?

are you referring to the LED backlighting found by the rear door handle? If you are then yes only the front ones are lighted while the rear doors aren't.

First Mazda, considering new CX-9, need your input.

I've had my 2017 Signature trim for a year now and no reliability issues so far nor any of the previously mentioned issues like wheel vibration or infotainment screen problems. I used to admire Subaru as a brand due to the Japanese technology, safety innovations and their AWD system but have been...

    CX-9 Oil Change

I checked the dipstick today (car was idle overnight) and the oil level was way over the top fill level therfore the 5.5L that my Mazda dealer put in was way more than the 4.8L that was stated on the manual. I believe anywhere bet 5.0-5.2L should be more than sufficient for an oil change and...

    Bouncy ride in cold weather?

Any vehicle in minus 15 to minus 20 degree temps will have stiffer shocks/suspension and engine mounts due to the extreme temps...I noticed this in all my previous and current vehicles as I live in an extreme cold climate area (here in Cda) and it is just a fact of life. Even my previous Toyota...

    The AWD thread

The way I treat it is like winter tires vs all season tires...doesn't mean you are on winter tires then it gives you the edge to drive faster vs all seasons however your margin of error and safety is increased when on winters. Same with AWD...doesn't mean you will drive faster than FWD vehicles...

    The AWD thread

Are you using winter tires or just all seasons? Wheel slippage is normal if on icy/snowy roads and depending on the power-throttle input (even on winter tires) unless you are on studded winter tires. The AWD will send power to all 4 wheels as necessary but it doesn't mean there will be no...

    CX-9 Oil Change

That's about 5.6L then...ok so it's close then. What I found in my last oil change (6mos ago) was the 5L jug I provided while they used entire jug but after going home and letting it sit for awhile I did notice the level in dipstick wasn't at full line so I had to top it up by 0.2-0.3L...
