Feel like a noob asking this... 2019 with Turbo - Engine Air Filter & Cabin

I'm in Ontario too. My car just hit the 1 year mark. Do you think I can get away until the next Oil change? They wanted 300$ for oil change + brake service which I think is just insane.

Feel like a noob asking this... 2019 with Turbo - Engine Air Filter & Cabin

They were recommending a brake service that included inspecting the brakes and lubing up the calipers etc. Seems like a load of s*** to me, honestly. The manual does indeed show 48,000km / 36 months for the air filter, and the only other services they recommend are just to inspect hoses...

Feel like a noob asking this... 2019 with Turbo - Engine Air Filter & Cabin

Hello All, Have a 2019 Signature with the turbo, and its going in for its 24,000km service (1 year of ownership). They're doing a brake service supposedly and checking the filters. It's going in for service this coming Friday and I'm certain they're gonna flag the air filters either way, so...

Replace the inserts, not the entire wipers

I haven't had any issues with mine and I live in the great white north. No issues at all. Perhaps I'm lucky. Also - I remember when I was at the carshow, they told me the 2019 CX5 had wiper heaters or some kind of heaters in the windshield to prevent snow buildup - does anyone know if...

Replace the inserts, not the entire wipers

This is really really helpful. I'd much rather replace this than the entire blade if it's not damaged or not worn at all. Thanks!

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

I have had several "fail to load" issues recently, and I'm not sure if it's just coincidence or not, but almost every single time it was raining out / the car was wet with rain from overnight. Not sure if it's just ironic, or if that has something to do with the problem.

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

My experience has been the same as yours actually - until that day!

Dangerous cylinder deactivation trouble on 2018 CX-5 and Mazda6 models

Wait, am I understanding right? There's an ECU update for the Turbo version too?

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

Oddly enough, I had a "Cannot communicate with SiriusXM hardware" message today. I had been listening to SIrius no problems for about 30 mins. Stopped to get gas, turned the car back on and hadn't touched any buttons, and that's what happened. That's the first time since updating to 352 that...

2020 Consumer Reports Reliability Rankings of CX-5 and a few competitors

    I quite agree with you. 3'rd mazda here, I owned a 2004 Mazda 6 and a 2009 Mazda 6. This CX-5 is by-far the most enjoyable vehicle I've owned!

'19 Signature shudder just after stopping from highway speeds

Title says it, but Ill try to be more specific. Car has about 19,000km on it and is almost 1 year old. After driving at highway speeds (100-120km/hr) for a short period of time (20 mins), I've noticed that AFTER having come to a complete stop, the RPM's return to idle but shortly thereafter...

2020 Consumer Reports Reliability Rankings of CX-5 and a few competitors

Oh don't get me wrong - I find the information I get here extremely helpful, most of the times. I just meant generally - You have to take all these internet forums for what they are. Mazda makes hundreds of thousands of cars a year, and there are bound to be ones with issues.

    Winter driving

I'm glad to see that what you describe is universal - that happens here too. LOL. My 45 minute commute will take 2-3 hours in a snow event. I ALWAYS laugh at the Jeep's and Durango's I see in the ditch that blew past me on the highway a few km down the road. .. Just because your car is fast...

    91 vs 93 octane and GT-R/Sg trim CX-5

Just used an online converter.. here, try 5.24$ for a gallon (Canadian dollars to boot). You guys have it really good down there at 3.00$ a gallon. lol

    91 vs 93 octane and GT-R/Sg trim CX-5

A lot of people probably don't even realize this.... For most of us, we're sitting down at the 2-3000rpm range for MOST of our commutes/drives, so the advantage of premium fuel is null. I remember seeing this picture you posted while I was in the purchase-period of my car, and I decided against...

    Winter driving

All kinds. I live in Toronto, and we've had freezing rain, pellets, slushy snow, and I've driven on unplowed roads about 25cm's worth (about 9-10" worth). I mean, keep in mind - I drive carefully. I slow down, I take corners slowly, and I don't drive the crap out of the car just because I...

Updated version of the Infotainment System Available (70.0.0.352B NA N) for North America

First time I did my car (about 1 month after delivery to me) the update got to 99%, and BOOM.. everything shut off. LMAO. I had set the timer from the point where the upgrade starts, NOT from when the CMU shut-down occurs when you have to get out of the car.. I panicked. I've never sweated...

    Winter driving

I have the stock tires on my '19 Signature and live in Toronto (Canada), and I have to say, I'm really impressed thus far in the cars handling capabilities in snow. I don't drive crazy in the snow, and I don't rely on the vehicle to do things that it isn't really designed to do (stop fast, turn...

2020 Consumer Reports Reliability Rankings of CX-5 and a few competitors

Funny, judging by the # of complaints here (and other Mazda forums), you'd think that Mazda wouldn't be that high on the list. Goes to show you that Internet Forums aren't always the best place to get your information lol.
