I must have TOTALLY missed them somehow this time! Thanks!

    Firmware 70.00.367A

This is important - I know in the Mazda3 Forum where the original set of instructions came from, there was a checksum posted for each update, but this latest one did NOT have a checksum posted, so I wasn't able to crosscheck the checksum to ensure it was okay. The purpose of having a checksum...

    Engine Warmup

Definitely. The other thing you need to be aware of, it is actually in the manual for the Signature model (I own one too), that if you are doing lots of short-stops and lots of highway driving, its recommended that after you put the car in park, you wait 30 seconds for the oil to cool the turbo...

2013~2016 Should I change transmission fluid in Skyactiv cars?

My previous car was a 2009 Mazda 6 without a Skyactive transmission - The transmission made it all the way to 220,000+ KM without a flush until it started to indicate a transmission sensor issue. There was nothing wrong with the driveability in it either. IT was just indicating a solenoid...

Disappointments / missing things in your CX-5?

I've owned my CX-5 Signature for a little over a year now, and it wasn't until very recently that I figured out how to store the bloody gas cap. I couldn't believe when I bought the car that my 2009 Mazda 6 had a holder but the newer CX-5 didn't. I was blown away.

Disappointments / missing things in your CX-5?

Yeah, I can totally see the insurance companies using it against you at renewal time.. Your premiums go up, and when you call they say "well, you actually slammed on the brake 60% more than the rest of our customers, so... "

Disappointments / missing things in your CX-5?

LOL. Working in IT gives me a better understanding of just what these companies are doing, and how much data I'm giving them. I do have a Facebook, but I'm pretty close to just shutting it down. Same with instagram. I know they'll still get data from me navigating around the web, etc...

Disappointments / missing things in your CX-5?

I agree with your sentiment, but if you have your Android phone or iPHone in the car with you, all your apps are doing that anyways unless you specifically tune your device properly.. and even then sometimes it's still doing it anyways surreptitiously through apps that have "bugs' conveniently...

    Fuel Injector Cleaning

Does this go for the Turbo model too? I've always put Fuel Injector cleaner in my 2-3 times a year but I've never owned a turbo so I don't know if it will impact it in any negative way? Thx.

    Workshop Manuals for 2018 CX-5

Question - for someone who owns the 2.5T, does this manual matter at all? How similar is it to mine?

    Report: Diesel CX-5 Discontinued

Tesla just entered the chat. I mean, there's always going to be purists and "old folk" who prefer the older way, but for this 40+ year old guy, Tesla's screen is pretty intuitive and almost everyone I know who has one says they think its a huge improvement over what they owned previously...

Disappointments / missing things in your CX-5?

Not sure if it's mentioned, but after a year and 3 months of owning my '19 Sig: - No 360 camera or backup sensors in Canadian model - No lock on the glove compartment.. C'mon? My first car, a 20,000$ Chevy Z24 had this... as did my two Mazda 6's.. - No auto-sense of your hand to unlock the door...

Battery went completely Dead. Jump-started, now engine is shaky and weak?

What IS the best way to clean your engine bay? I've heard various people over the years say to use a spray hose on it, i've heard others say DOOONNNTTT lol. Whats your secret Conrad?

'17 with really lumpy idle running AC

My '19 does this - I think I even posted here about it. It's annoying and it makes me feel like my car is older than it is. It's probably just my own brain, but it feels like a car that's about 4-5 years old and its barely 1 year old. I have 24,000 km on my car.. I'm going to mention it to...

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

I agree with you - I can't seem to find a common set of failure modes. And I'm an IT guy. Lol. Yes, one of the things I've noticed is that if I jump the gun and try to change channels or fiddle with the commander knob before the system has had plenty of time to load, I get these issues. As for...

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

It's so funny you should say that, because whenever it's happened to me, ~30 (+/- a few miniutes) fixed the issues for me almost every time. AND occasionally, the 3 finger reboot has worked at least twice for me too. There doesn't appear to be any common fixes across different units, so...

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

Friend of mine has a 2019 Jeep something and his does the same thing all the time. I know its anecdotal, but his issues are very similar.

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

I have said ALL ALONG that the issue is with the SiriusXM receiver module. Keep in mind, SiriusXM comes out with new receivers all the time. I'd be interested in knowing if the receiver in the 2019+ is a newer model that's causing issues. I know when I had my old Mazda6 (2009), SIriusXM...
