I did. And the last sentence asked, "Can anyone recall if this is normal for the first hundred miles on a Mazda as they are claiming?"
And I am confirming that this is normal
If it's a CPO that you just got a month ago, the battery is still covered by the CPO warranty. Take it to the dealer and they will put it on their fancy battery tester/charger. It will show if it's still good or needs to be replaced
contact Mazda yourself. they might be more likely to help than if the dealer contacts them. also, find out if it's leaking or seeping. you can live with seeping. the dealer should have send you a video (most Mazda dealers do that now)
the miles to empty screen has a HUGE margin of error because Mazda doesn't want you to run out of gas. the low fuel light is supposed to come on when you have about 2 gallons left. on my 6 though it comes on at 4 gal
I think most European Mazda owners would have a laugh at doing oil changes at 5k or 7500 mi. Over there the normal driving oil change interval is 20k km (12k miles) with the same engine
Going right to new wheels, tires, and suspension, sound deadening, seems kind of extreme. Why not just switch the most likely culprit (the tires) first and see what that does?
It's strange reading about the CX5 suspension being too hard when it is the softest of all of the current Mazda lineup. When I hear ride complaints about the CX5, it's usually about the ride being too soft or that it has too much body roll
You only bought it 4 months ago. You probably don't need anything yet. Most dealers will at least do the oil change before they sell it. They probably did more work to it when they CPO'd it. They should have given you a Carfax/AutoCheck report of its history and that should show what they did to...
absolutely do not tell him to go 10k miles between oil changes. Especially while he still has the factory powertrain warranty. 7500 mi or 1 year for normal driving; 5000 mi for severe
newer models that have been updated recently (Mazda 3, CX-30/50) are the ones that say 10k miles/12 months in...
