The majority of the noise comes from the tires. You'll notice the change depending on the road your driving. Lots of cars have the same problem. Mazda could possibly do a better job of insulating but my 2019 is quieter than my 2015.

Since you know what the voltage on the battery is I assume you have a meter. Hook it up to the battery and have someone turn it over while you read it. If it drops below 10 volts replace the battery.

I had a 2016 and now have a 2019 cx5 GT and have felt it also. I've heard it's the torque converter unlocking which I guess it could be. I know the engineers wanted a fast lockup so that may be it. Doesn't worry me!

I hooked my phone up to the smart phone port of my 2019 cx-5 but it isn't recognized. In the settings the box is checked for AA but under apps the android auto isn't highlighted. phone makes some beeps but that's it. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks

Personally I don't see a problem and I do it also. I don't think engineers would have designed the transmission with that capability if it was bad for the tranny. However with that said some people would point out that replacing brake parts is a lot cheaper than having the tranny repaired!
