    ^what he said. Also the protege(90-94) and miata(94-95) had 8:8 comp. 96-98 had true 9:1. 99-01 had 9:5 and 2002+ had 10:1.

    See I don't like that 90 degree bend. The airflow would just smack that like its smacking a wall. I've never put an intake on my car. Waste of money for 1-2 hp. I have a turbo in mine. A dremel is a rotory cuting tool. Do a google search ;)

    The check engine light and a few other are suppose to come on when you start it then they turn of in a sec. If that's what you're seeing then you don't have a check light on. How old is your o2 sensor? (Talking to the 1g protege owner)

    It sounds like you have a dx protege. Some dx pros came with a tach cluster with a 6k redline. You can swap in one of those or swap in a lx protege cluster. It has a 7k redline so you'll have to pay better attn as the dx is only 6k redline. As far as intakes go just get a 90-93 honda accord cai...

    92 turns over but no spark

    Its the dist. Replace it and drive. Same thing happened to mine. Just dided 1 day and I replaced everything. Swapped out the disty and poof....started right up. Whoever worked on the car and gave it back without fixing it is an idiot. Hope you don't go back to those guys.

    I hear where you're coming from chico and don't take this the wrong way but a 1g is a better choice. Here's my thoughts. If you can find a msp for 6k how great is it really going to be? Lets say he does find 1 for that price in good shape, he's going to have to start putting money into it...

    Bah. I smoke MSPs in my boosted 1g all day ;) lol That's where tons of info is on the 1g. Most ppl refer to the bp as the 1.8dohc but in reality the bp is both sohc and dohc. Bp05 is dohc and bp01/b8 is sohc.

    Depends on how deep your pockets are. Why not just drop a bpt or mx6 v6 in there instead? Both are direct drop ins.

    Nah. There's really no advantage besides 1 more stud to hold the wheel secure. I'm wanting to do it just because I want some p5 16/17s. This is the pic that got me all excited lol
