Invest in a oil temp gauge, a stock RX-8 takes about ten minutes at idle to get warmed up. You don't have to let it idle until she is fully warmed up but definitley do not go over 4,000RPM until she is warmed up. Where the factory coolant temp gauges shows warm, the oil is not to temp usually...
