Battery Dead .5~1.0V voltage drop normal?

I asked you way back in post #6 if you had a multimeter, it seems that you do, or did rather. As said above, the meter should have a replaceable fuse. How exactly are you measuring the current draw of the battery? As you found out, don't try to measure by placing the meter probes across the...

Anyone upgrade from a 2 to a 3 button key fob?

2 buttons? I didn't know that these fobs came in a 2-button version. My 2016.5 CX came with a 3-button fob and my 2016 MX came with a 4-button fob. Your 2018 fob only has 2 buttons? Odd. You soldered a 3rd button onto the key? I'd love to see a pic of that. Where and what exactly did you...

Battery Dead .5~1.0V voltage drop normal?

While I agree that the 10amp charger is what's needed here. I don't agree that a 5amp charger attached to a completely discharged battery is going to overheat. Perhaps years ago, but not these days with any halfway decent modern charger. The charger will limit its output to keep from trying to...

Battery Dead .5~1.0V voltage drop normal?

20 to 50 mins of running time is not enough to fully charge a discharged battery. Charge it overnight with a quality charger and then retest. If you don't do this then there's nothing left to discuss here. This is the first step before anything else can be done. If you have a multimeter, you...

2018 CX-5 Experiences drop in RPM at low speeds

I'm just messing with him; I don't care if he has an auto or not. BUT, for me. The MX is a lightweight sports car that's all about fun and fun means shifting gears. I just love rowing through the gears when getting onto a highway or coming out of a tight corner. There's nothing like that...

2018 CX-5 Experiences drop in RPM at low speeds

That doesn't count so you get the face, again.

    2018 CX-5 warmup rpm issue

Yes, we know that you're questioning the high idle, we read that in your post, and I believe that most, if not all, of us understand what you're asking. We are ALL speaking of the high idle and we're telling you that it's normal.

2018 CX-5 Experiences drop in RPM at low speeds

With that drop of 200 rpms it kinda sounds like when the torque converter locks up. My CX does this but without the jolt. I see that the trans fluid was changed, how was the level set and was Mazda FZ used?

    2018 CX-5 warmup rpm issue

Sounds normal to me, mine does the same. and has since brand new. I'm not sure of the exact rpm numbers though. This has something to do with warming of the cat for emissions purposes. I believe that it's spelled out in your owner's manual.

    CX-5 Trailer Hitch

I have no idea which is easier, but I installed a class 3 by myself. It's doable but another hand would have been better. Watch out for the edges of the heat shields under there. They're VERY sharp and will cut you if you just look at em wrong.

Should I do the following scheduled maintenance?

The receipt looks good, the right fluid and the right amount are both listed at least.

Should I do the following scheduled maintenance?

The trans pan was removed, the internal filter changed, and the pan resealed along with how many quarts of FZ? They did use FZ right? Seems like a high price for this service.

Should I do the following scheduled maintenance?

What exactly did they do for $523?

2017~2025 When to change CX-5 Rear Differential Fluid?

No lift required, at least for me. There's plenty of room under the rear of the car to get at the diff filler port. Remove the plug and pump in the OEM lube till it starts to run out of the port. Now it's filled properly.

2017~2025 When to change CX-5 Rear Differential Fluid?

I plan on changing the fluid in my diff at around the mileage that you have now. Question for you. It seems that in most cases, folks have found the diff fluid to be low from the factory. Have you ever checked yours? When I checked mine, I found it to be 12oz low of the correct fill that...

2019 CX-5 How do I open key fob to replace battery?

A quick Google of the question. in high-drain applications, the CR2025 typically lasts 2–3 months, while the CR2032 can last 3–4 months. On average, one additional month. For me, not worth the bother.

    2021 CX-5 Key Battery Low

There is NO reason to have the car constantly broadcasting a signal, NONE. I'll agree to disagree on this. In the long run, it makes no difference.

Adding GPS SD card to a 2022 CX-5 Turbo

Were the cards recognized by your CX? Can you see the files on the cards when inserted into your computer? Like I said above. the first card that I was sent was bad. When I inserted it into the reader on my car, the car didn't recognize that a card was inserted. When I inserted the card into...

    2021 CX-5 Key Battery Low

Passive Key Enty System. I read your link and the one thing that was said on this subject was this. "The PKE key fob and the vehicle module both contain transceivers that communicate wirelessly to detect each other. The module in the vehicle continually sends out encoded messages; when the key...
