Clicking/knocking noise after rotor and brake pad change

One thing to make sure of is that the clips are placed correctly. If you had to force them at all, they might be backwards. This:

    CX-9 for my traveling son?

I'm 6'2"/ 190lbs and recently bought a Golf R (don't judge! Mazda abandoned me, not the other way around!) because I wanted a turbocharged hatchback that I can fit my surfboards, dog and friends into, but still have some fun. Crazy how much more leg and shoulder room there is compared to an...

First Time Mazda Owner Question For Long Time Owners

I've been driving Mazdas since the 90's and they've always treated me great. All except the RX-7 I have now, but that's a different animal. I've always thought of Mazdas as maybe a little less dependable or durable than a Honda or Toyota, but the way they drive makes up for that.

Best cold air intake and exhaust setup?

+1 more for the Injen intake. I ran one on my P5 for years with no issues. They're California smog legal too. So is the Racing Beat exhaust, which is also high quality. If you want loud, though, RB might not be the choice. No need for a tune or injectors as long as you're keeping the boost...

    CX-9 for my traveling son?

You're a pretty cool dad, buying a 30,000+ dollar car for your son. I hope I can do something like that some day. (y) Is his heart set on a CUV? A Mazda 6 gets better mileage, is faster, corners better, is more comfortable, better looking (IMO), less expensive, and has nearly as much cargo...

    Pace Alventi Tyres

If I was given a choice of Michelins or those, I'd keep the Michelins, save some money and get better tires when you can afford them.

How many Mazdas have you owned?

The FC was NA so it really wasn't too bad. The FD on the other hand...it's a money pit. My last engine rebuild cost overt $20k when all was said and done. They're gaining value lately, but it's also getting tougher and tougher to find mechanics and parts.

Buying a new car and having it shipped

I did, sort of. 👍I didn't buy anything 1st, but I did make sure I got the one I wanted. When I bought my Protege5. I test drove one and liked it, then when it was time to sign the papers, I went back out to the lot and found the silver 5-speed with no leather and the least miles. I still miss...

www.autornd.com Rishie, the owner is an old school Mazda guy, insanely knowledgeable and can get you great prices on real JDM wheels. I'm not affiliated, just a happy repeat customer.

    Hwy 9 Fun Run!

Yeah Alex! Good to see you around, brother. Long time! Yeah, we're going to be ok over here on the beach, but the mountains are all on fire. It's like a snowstorm of ashes around my neighborhood.

    Hwy 9 Fun Run!

It's looking like UCSC will burn in this 40,000+ acre fire, as well as most of the towns along Hwy 9 in the SC Mountains. Get the hell outta there you guys. Prayers go out! https://www.ksbw.com/article/lightning-complex-wildfire-aug-20/33655265
