I have tried high octane fuel, and pure (no alcohol fuel) with no notable increase in power, or economy.

I have a 2015 Touring, and before that a 2013 Touring. I did not encounter this problem in either one of them.

My only thought is why didn't it follow the lines of the vehicle. It's just a straight line with no relation to the contours of the CX5.

"I have a horrible parking location which requires me to see the side of the car." Get a pair of those small round blind spot mirrors for the outside mirrors. You can see the sides of the car, parking space lines, and the curb.

I think I would like it without the emblem, or with it painted black.

Isn't winter gas also formulated different, and less efficient?

I ran a couple of tankful's of pure gas which is sold at a few stations in the Charlotte area. I did not see enough of a change to warrant the additional expense of the pure stuff.

I just took out the mats, and stowed them in the garage. When the lease expires I will put them back, presto, nice clean mats.

Batteries on my 2013 lasted for the three year period of my lease with over 30,000 miles. Batteries on my 2015 are a year, and a half with no problem as of yet.
