Well I am happy to report the ceramic Hawks are amazing! Definitely an improvement over stock pads. Definitely had my fingers crossed as this is my first time doing my own brakes ever. Pads are super quiet and no squeeking..... just bites! I definitely would recommend them...I will watch for...

I guess I always figured it worked like this......initial bite is on the same scale as dust and noise.....the more initial bite...the more potential for noise and dust such as tracking pads at low speeds that is.....the less initial bite has less dust and less noise such as ceramics....so you...

I just do street driving.....no track time......I have heard from everywhere that ceramics have very little dust........am I wrong?

I went to the dealership and they changed my oil to....surprise....the same stuff I put in mobil 1 5w-40.......he told me to see if it still smokes excessively and if it does bring it in again.....guess ill be back in a week....lol

I also just can't drive around smoking.....drives me nuts and is embarrassing. I also envision that oil pooling in the turbo seal eating up the seal...I can't imagine that oil burning in there is good for the seal.
