Just checked the official fuel economy numbers, they match my 27mpg hwy experience. But EPA estimates at done for 55mph hwy driving (I believe), but if I drive my turbo at 55mph it gets about 30mpg. Go figure.

Same here. I only do highway driving with minimal city driving. I do 74mph mostly. 79 when in 70 limit zone. My average is 27MPG.

Lights on my 2021 are weaker than I had on 2016 w/tech. 2016 w/tech was a really nice car overall.

They indeed position it as all new :) The all-new CX5, meticulously designed to be very similar to the current model, I can only imagine how much effort it takes...
