I’ve been running 0W-20 for over 10 years in my CX-5 and a little less in a 1UR-FE in my GX 460. No noticeable oil consumption. It’s not called for in the turbo Mazdas so I wouldn’t run it there.

Unfortunately, IIRC.. if there was never a reported service visit on TSB issue they won't cover it. Always a chance of dealer goodwill in the matter but they aren't obligated. If this turned into a safety recall for some reason then that would be covered.

After all these years... finally did this on my '15. I had a flickering LED bulb so wanted to shut it down. I have the Bi-Xenon HIDs in mine and stock had the halogen bulbs for DRL that were replaced with LEDs a decade back.

I feel pretty confident using the Valvoline R&P with the reports and backgrounds of those testing.. these low-tension piston rings in-use ~2010 or so has made this viable option to help clean up the ring deposit issues

IMO: I don't think there are really any definitive answers to be found now..... I'm gonna keep my game of maintenance up and drive the wheels off current vehicles. No interest in purchasing anything new right now. I had been interested in a RX 450 PHEV but may end up buying a Lyriq instead...
