Updated my firmware today from v.5x to v.7x. Was pretty straightforward and took about 40 minutes. Not sure why the dealer never did this but does anyone know the major differences between those versions? Is it just AA/ACP? I do plan on getting the hardware for it soon.

you get more HP if you use 93 octane in the second gen cx9. Also there are definitely tricks to saving gas: limit breaking to only when necessary, don’t speed up to red lights, don’t accelerate quickly when not needed etc..

I traded in my 2017 GT =( It sucks because I loved the hell out of the car and expected to drive it into the ground, but I have 3 kids now so I needed a third row. Ended up getting a 2016 CX9 GT. Feels very similar to the CX5. I barely feel like I'm driving a third row vehicle.

Nice guide--except....you can disable the ambient lighting entirely in the settings so this guide is good if you need to replace it but is a more trouble than it's worth if you simply want to disable it. It's under "lighting" in the settings.

It has something to do with IHS regulations that the turn signal has to be clear and free from any obfuscation. Sometimes it makes no sense because there are cars where it’s clearly visible but the DRL still turns off and others where it’s hard to tell yet they stay on. /shrug
