    Fumoto Drain Plug Options

Yes there are plenty of them on ebay. it's just a 14MM x 1.5. I figured as long as I'm replacing the factory plug I must just go to the Fumoto type as it looks more convenient.

    Fumoto Drain Plug Options

In my opinion the standard inverted oil drain plug hex is a bad design. If you strip it out then it would be quite a job getting the plug out one last time. As a result, I've been looking at the Fumoto Oil Drain valves. It looks like there are at least three that will fit our cars: F106N -...

Anyone found a cure yet for the "CX-5 weeping drainplug syndrome"?

Last oil change I put some thread sealant on the drain plug and used my torque wrench to be sure it was tightened correctly. So far no weeping.

    starting issue

The exact same thing happened to my wife twice this week. My sons and I have not been able to duplicate it. The symptoms are she presses the brake pedal and she says it acts as if it does not want to depress all the way. She then pushes the start button. The instrument lights come on but it does...

    Battery Issue?

Actually best way to tell if the battery is good is by a load tester. Unfortunately, I don't have one. Good news is just has to get me 15 miles on Monday to the dealership.

    Battery Issue?

Fully charged around 13.4 volts. After charging it on 15 amp charger for 3-1/2 hours and can't get past 98% charged it reads 13.0 volts. Will take another reading in an hour to see if it's losing more as time goes by. Also have a P0882 code which is TCM control module fault which can be caused...

    Battery Issue?

Tried to start my 2014 CX5 2.5L in the airport parking lot after my plane landed last night and the battery was completely dead. The car had been sitting for 5-1/2 days there. Fortunately, I was able to get a jump but when I started it the ABS, TPMS and traction control lights were on and stayed...

Anyone else having probem with weeping oil drain plug?

On my last oil change it wanted to weep too. Not enough for it to drip but it still bothers me. I may try putting in a copper washer in between stock silver washer the next oil change. Any opinions on this?

    CX-5 Oil Change with Filter

Just did my first oil change yesterday. The first one was free at the dealership. The good: The placement of the oil filter and drain plug were spot on. I wish every car was like that. The bad: Didn't know it took an 8mm male hex. Fortunately, I had an 8mm hex key which I used. It took a lot...

    Bluetooth problems

My Bluetooth, USB and Pandora all went out yesterday too for the second time in 3 months. Rather than unplugging the battery and doing a reset that way again, I took it into the dealer. They told me their is no TSB on it. They did look at it and said the "module" was acting flakey and ordered a...

    anyone remove their front seats?

They are on there pretty good too. I had to use my 1/2" drive wrench. They are also the reverse torx bolts. All the major auto parts stores should carry the sockets. I think I got mine at Advance.

    anyone remove their front seats?

The front seats are easy. 4 bolts and disconnect the harness below the seat. I also first disconnected my battery and let the car sit for a couple minutes just to be sure the airbags were disabled.
