    "Lifetime" limited powertrain warranty

if it doesn't cost anything and doesn't require any extra spending along the way then it can't hurt.

    "Lifetime" limited powertrain warranty

That law may only apply to manufactures warranties. One dealer here that offers it has right on the form that you are required to have all oil, filter and tire rotation maintenance services that are recommended by the vehicle manufacturer performed at their service department within 1,000 miles...

    "Lifetime" limited powertrain warranty

do you also have to get all the services they recommend done at their dealership to keep the warranty in place? If they have a lot of things that Mazda doesn't require on their regular service list it could get expensive over time.

    tech package turning headlights

looks like the next mercedes ones will be even fancier: It also has what seems like the world's most complicated and sophisticated headlamps, which incorporate an optional motorized masking system for the high-beam headlamps so drivers can keep the high beams on virtually all the time. Using...

I had no idea they were this cool: I thought they'd move back and forth just a little bit.

    Breaking Windshields

there were some Honda Elements that had a little bump in the metal edge around their windshield and it would cause a pressure point and crack the windshields. Might be worth asking the installer if he sees anything that isn't smooth around the inside edge where the windshield mounts.

Resuming Playback with 2014 CX-5 GT Tech Stereo and other issues

that is weird, I've never seen one disappear on there before. Could be a glitch in their system since they recently moved things and have had several bugs but it does seem odd.

Resuming Playback with 2014 CX-5 GT Tech Stereo and other issues

Yep, I'll often comment that the car is liking a handful of artists more than others as it will play songs from the same album again in less than an hour with 40+ different albums to choose from. I'll forget I have some albums on the USB drive after awhile because it just won't get to them...

    Interior Illumination

It is the little knob between the speedometer and the information readout screen at the top. It also doubles as the reset for the trip odometer. Trevor Mazda CX5 Accessories

    Headrest problem

I guess those with pony tails need the Verano Head rests :) http://content.usatoday.com/communities/driveon/post/2011/10/headrests-in-new-buick-verano-made-for-ponytails/1#.UUNM6RzrzTg although there is one interesting line in that story "The government mandates how far a driver's or...

    Headrest problem

it is just a common shape of seats anymore. Ford fusion: Honda Accord: just search for "head rest too far forward" and there are a lot of results from just about every make and model. Without the active setup mentioned above you end up with head rests that are leaned forward all the time...

    CX-5 Fuel economy

a quick overview of the process: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/how_tested.shtml I was surprised when I found out the car manufactures get to perform the test and the EPA only rechecks 10-15% of them but then I was even more shocked when I read in the last issue of car and driver that the...

    CX-5 Fuel economy

That reminds me of something that has baffled me in California. The stickers on the pumps around here say "Accuracy of this device is the responsibility of the owner/user" in small print. I always thought the seal meant they had checked the pump, while that seems to say "best of luck!"

    Headrest problem

yeah, I'd definitely not want to alter for safety reasons them but it would be nice if they were like they get here: http://www.mazda.com.au/technology/active-head-restraints.aspx where they move forward on impact.

    One Year Ownership

That's the question.... The part above the chart makes it sound like it should go off after a few seconds but the chart shows it should be on. I don't know if the top part means if someone is there it should still light for a few seconds and then go off, which it does do. The light in mine is...

    One Year Ownership

It has a mixed message because then right below that it shows that the light should be on if the seat is empty: but then at another place in the manual it says it uses the seat belt as part of the system and I was surprised that it doesn't show the "off" light only when the seat belt is...

hacking GPS to type address while car is in motion... anyone know how?

truly tragic. and yet, like a drunk driver, people will insist that they can drive perfectly fine while texting, surfing, or updating facebook. I'm surprised anymore if on my commute I don't at least see 2 or 3 cars playing road pong (bouncing between the lines) while looking down for 5+...
