Well relatively speaking... For the lack of advertising, the sales are good but overall sales numbers for both vehicles are relatively small. You would think that in a market like this, car manufacturers would be advertising cars that are very practical, functional and economical... I guess...

Got the same midnight blue... love it. I got my windows tinted which really makes a huge difference.

At first I was glad the Mazda5 didn't really have any direct competitors.... but now I am beginning to change my mind. I think competition would push Mazda to invest in this vehicle... at least in N. America. It is a really nice vehicle that Mazda seems to be content to ignore.

I believe it is Mazdas equivalent to the mini. It has sold very well in Europe and Asia. I didn't know it was coming to the US in 2010.

Yeah it looks like the manual tran. is the only way to get respectable acceleration numbers out of the 5. Too bad it is only offered in the lowest Sport model.

My insurance rate basically stayed the same when I traded my 9 year old Accord for my new Mazda5. I was pleased.

Most people don't realize how slow the Mazda5 is in straight acceleration. It barely beats the Prius for goodness sake. However, for most normal driving it is somewhat hidden by the decent handling... except of course if trying to pass someone at freeway speeds is your normal driving.
