    Opinions on window tinting wanted.

Pros: + Cooler in the summer. + More secure (blocks view from outside). + Makes the car look alot "cooler" :) Cons: It does darken your view from your rear-view mirror a bit (only really notice it at at night). This depends on the level of tinting you choose. You can't clean the inside...

Used 2009 Sport or 2008 Touring

I agree with the above posters. The used 2009 is shockingly overpriced.

On the Fence: MZ5 or CX9???

Agreed... it's not always easy to compare vehicles which differ by $10K in MSRP price.

    Official 2011 Mazda5 Thread

I'd agree with a previous poster that any upgrade to the Mazda5 will probably come to Asia or Europe first and then slowly migrate over to North America. Mazda sells so few of these vehicles in N. America it just makes more sense to do it in Europe/Asia where it is more popular. With less than...

On the Fence: MZ5 or CX9???

Disclaimer: I never drove a CX9. But what I read about it, the CX9 will give you zoom zoom (and then some) while the Mazda5 will give you room room. The CX-9 starting price was also quite a bit higher last time I checked. I've owned the Mazda5 for about 18 months so far. My impressions so...

    Interior Cargo Cover Questions

It depends on your needs. I actually leave the cargo cover in place almost 90% of the time. Unless you need the 3rd row all the time, or your cargo goes up to the roof, I find it comes in handy to cover up what you have stored back there. I agree, it's a tradeoff but IMO, I am very glad I got it.

    2010 Mazda 5 commercials

Not only is the Mazda5 absent in their commercials, they are also absent in their print ads. In fact you hardly even see them even mentioned in the dealer ads in the papers. It's like the car doesn't even exist in the US...

    US Mazda5 Changes for 2010

I expected at least something new... besides basic cosmetic changes.

2011 Toyota Sienna Wants To Be A Sedan

Wow that behemoth got even wider. It's almost 10 inches wider than the 5... not to mention almost 20 inches longer.

    Just got an '08 Touring

Congrats. The only things I did 1. Get a replacement key - get a blank key fob and program it yourself and save a bundle 2. Get the windows tinted. Other than that, personally I like it just the way it is.

    Will Mazda survive?

More news articles are coming out... basically saying the same thing. Most experts believe Mazda is too small to survive on its own. What does everyone think? Do you care if Mazda gets taken over... or will you just go over to another car company in the future?

    Will Mazda survive?

Just came across this... Sadly this is not very good news. http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2009/12/report-ford-to-cease-platform-sharing-with-mazda-leaving-japanese-automaker-in-the-lurch.html Quote: ..."Still, Mazda will now have to develop new platforms on its own, which some analysts...

    Cargo cover options?

I got a 13" HP notebook and it indeed does fit in the glove storage compartment. It's a tight squeeze but it fits. Just another potential option in case you have a small notebook. I'm sure ALL netbooks fit too.

    Cargo cover options?

I've tried it already. It really only fits a netbook of very very small noteboo.

    November 2009 Mazda5 Sales

Wow, that is 3 pathetic months in a row for the Mazda5. Does everyone think it still is an inventory problem or is something else up?

Input wanted: Buy used '08 or new '09?

Yeah, if you check the price thread, you'll see that people are getting the 09 Sport for under $16K... I think everyone would have gone with the new one but the OP is the buyer and it is his choice.

Input wanted: Buy used '08 or new '09?

So much for taking our input... lol. BTW, the price differential would not have been $5K since you could have negotiated a much better price on the new 2009.

Input wanted: Buy used '08 or new '09?

Ahh, I get it now. Your original post was a bit confusing... :) My post was just that a 2008 with 37K miles is alot. And I would agree with you. With that many miles on an '08, I'd go with the New one. Since the 08 is out of warranty already, a few repairs would wipe out any savings.
