Most 5s seen in one day!!!

I see very few driving around in Southern California... maybe 3 or 4 per week. Considering I probably see 100 Priuses and 50 Honda Fits... it's not really a popular car out on the left coast.

    Official 2011 Mazda5 Thread

The Mazda5 is really a small niche vehicle that Mazda almost never advertises. I live in Los Angeles and I see very few of them... Ironically Mazda is based in Irvine but it's not really a popular car around here. Californian's are more into image and not so much into practicality.

    June 2010 Mazda5 Sales

Mazda5 sales were down (probably due to end of model cycle) but overall sales were up over 32%. Overall a good month for Mazda.

    'Other' Mazda 5 Competitors?

Just curious, was the T&C you look at have stow-n-go 2nd Row seats or just the 3rd row seats? The stow-n-go 2nd row seats in pretty neat feature but it does compromise the seating comfortability of both the 2nd and 3rd tow. OP, feel free to steer the conversation back to the original topic of...

    New Mazda 5 Owner

Welcome. Honestly this is probably one of the best car forums around. Alot of helpful information and not alot of whining or arguments over stupid stuff like what is the best tire cleaner or aftermarket speakers...etc. I'm not even a car guy and I still visit this forum regularly.

    'Other' Mazda 5 Competitors?

I just brought up minivans because others were talking about the third row seats in the Toyota Highlander and infiniti QX56. Those are very big vehicles too... I thought it was related but I apologize for taking the thread on a tangent.

    'Other' Mazda 5 Competitors?

This thread has drifted towards a discussion about comfortability of 3rd row seats. I'm surprised that the regular minivan hasn't been brought up. The 3rd row seats of the the big 3 minivans are all fairly comfortable and the egress and ingress beats any SUV.

    Door Locks !

My system autotmatically unlocks the driver's door when you pull the key out. It locks when you arm the car or lock it manually.

    Door Locks !

Actually 2008 Mazda5 has this feature. I thought it was normal until I read the previous thread a while back. But as the previous poster said, this feature is probably from the alarm system. But the funny thing, is that I didn't buy an aftermarket alarm. I just paid for the factory (or...

Redesigned Mazda Premacy on Sale in Japan

That's true... and I no longer laugh at their "quality jokes" anymore. They are like the a growing force in the auto industry that still no one knows about. Although I would have to say that their minivan is still not up to the level of the other 3.

Mazda Awesomeness - a short rant

I'm a pretty avid follower of this thread and I'm not really a car guy. I usually only follow car threads shortly "before and after" I buy a car just to get a better idea of what people are thinking. I bought my Mazad5 nearly 2 years ago. enough said.

    Should I Take This Deal?

I know this thread might sound a bit depressing for the OP but most of the people giving you advice really have no vested interest in the vehicle so it's really unbiased.

    Should I Take This Deal?

The only thing that worries me is the mileage... that's alot of miles.

    possible new owner

Welcome to the forum. Ask away. This by far has in one of the best vehicle forums around. A great deal of useful information and very little "whining" (which is a good reflection on the car)

    May 2010 Mazda5 Sales

I was talking Mazda's overall numbers (total vehicle sales). THe Mazda5 sales may be mediocre but overall they had a good month. Let's not kid ourselves here. The Mazda5 fills a niche in their lineup but in reality it's not really a major sales leader. If I was a Mazda exec, I'd take 35%...

    NY Times review of Mazda5

Maybe it has been a success for Mazda but I think their are really missing out on a segment that potentially is going to grow exponentially. It's only a matter of time when the big boys start making vehicles like this in NA. I guess Mazda is happy with only 15K vehicles a year. I guess I'm in...
