RainX Latitude. I have been using those for years and have never looked back. Rain, snow or whatever... it has worked very well for me.

Heated Mirror Retrofit to Sport and Touring Models

Dave, I am not sure which year your car is, but this not a simple plug and play. As others mentioned, the door harnesses have the correct wires already in place. I noticed recently that the interior fuse box has a spot label M.DEF with a 7.5A fuse. However, there is no fuse or any wiring in...

2014 Mazda5 Steering wheel control - Analog or digital?

It is definitely not analog and you will need something like Metra Axxess ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface. Its about $50 on Amazon. I recently installed Alpine CDE-143BT with this kit and it works just fine. The only thing that I noticed is that on the OEM stereo, the...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Fully open position is an inch or so higher. When fully open, the old hood prop will not engage. As I mentioned in my original post, I think these dampers are somewhat undersized as it does not take muscle at all when closing. If anything, it is very easy to lower it to just about close...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Sokietech Hood dampers installed I didn't really do this today, but just wanted to share. I bought these on Amazon, but they are priced the same on eBay and elsewhere. Install was fairly straight forward. The only thing I find nagging is how slowly the hood opens. These dampers were designed...

Thinking of getting a Mazda5...Babies on the way!

I picked up 2013 Sport ATX model when the second kid came along. This car, for the money you pay, gives you the most space. I'm 6'6" and there is plenty room, even with kids seats facing forward. We never use the rear seats, so that gives you a ton of room in there. I've had strollers and...

Will there ever be a Skyactiv Mazda5 in Canada?

2015 is definately the last model year in US. Not sure about Canada, but Canadian market always has certain models of other automakers that are not sold in US. Shame, really, as this is a very affordable people mover...

air intake for 95' 1.5L pro...

Thanks. It was really half-assed, but it works great. I am going to try to make another one, only this time the bends will be better, and I will give it a nice finish. I just cannot wait until the good weather comes back, and re-install it. It makes such a difference! I went auto-xing...

air intake for 95' 1.5L pro...

No one but Essential Speed makes intakes for our cars (aprx $200). Other then that, you play around with eBay cheapos, or intakes made for our cars and modify them to fit. Its not that hard. I made my old CAI from scrap 2" exhaust pipes, and bend by eye. But I only have in the car for the...

    blow-by good or bad?

That could be either some as simple as you having sucked something up from the outside, or you could have a serious problem if your oil made that far, agaist air flow, through all the piping, on your air filter. Take off some of the hoses, and see if there is oil on in there.
