    Skid plate on a Mazda5?

How creative are you with sheetmetal and do you have the tools to form your own? You could probably start with the current plastic shield Mazda put there. However, the one that is there now is to shield from the dirt/water coming off the road into the engine bay. Also, you would need to do a...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

In order to replace the transmission mount, you have to remove the battery (amongst many other things :) to get access. The mount is pretty much directly underneath the battery.

    Transmission mount replacement question/issue

I am actually about to do the same thing. I got mine on Amazon, but it's one of Mazda dealers that actually ships the part. No Prime shipping, but I paid $110 plus tax. It's still available for $113, part number BBM5-39-070C. I took pictures of top and bottom, if it helps.

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Last weekend I put new shoes on my baby - Contis ProContact RX. It took 3.5 hours to mount, balance and align. However, it was worth the wait. Compared to the Fuzions I had on before, night and day difference.

    Spongy brakes, bleeding doesn't work (2013 Mazda5)

I actually just pulled the trigger on Autel AP200C tool that is capable of performing ABS auto bleed. However, I could not make it work on my 2013 Mazda 5 Sport. I contacted Autel and they informed me that my car does not support ABS auto bleed in the first place.

    Windscreen sensor

It can be associated with either a heating element, or a signal antenna of some sort. Being that you are in Jamaica, I'd presume it's the latter. It seems aftermarket to me. So, whomever is going to replace your windscreen, what ever it is now will probably be removed. Is there a tint film...

Mazda 3 Strut Tower Bar on Mazda 5

I do not want to rain on anyone's parade, but is there any benefit of a front strut bar on a car where the strut housing is pretty much at the firewall?

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

I finally got around to share the install of my new head unit and backup camera. I've had my Alpine CDE-143BT for years now and it served me well. However, the Alpine iLX-W650 is even better. I was really surprised how much better the radio started sounding. On the previous unit, I mainly...

    Brakes, bleeding gone wrong, questions

I wonder the same thing about the brake master cylinder. I just bled my brakes at just over 70K. There was not that much air in lines at all and the brake liquid was not all that "dirty". However, the brake pedal feel, is exactly like it was brand new. I always thought that maybe it just how...

    Loose brake pads 2010 Mazda5

Ah, the outside pad. I presumed you wire brushed and lubricated the caliper bracket grooves where the pad sits and reinstall the wire spring clip?

    Loose brake pads 2010 Mazda5

Did you use a piston compression tool on the rear calipers? Those have to compress to a certain depth and rotation. There is a dimple in the piston that should align with a protrusion on the pad.

Tried to do a stereo upgrade...

I my 2013 Sport AT did not have a 6 disc changer, but when I replaced my head unit, the AUX and USB also stopped working. That little unit has its own harness that plugs into the back of the OEM unit and is not part of the main stereo harness. If I were in your case, I would replace the head...

    Mazda5 Underhood liner by Dynamat

I did see your post and I admire the work you did. I might eventually get to do front floor area. I just peeked under the carpet and saw some styrofoam and layers of rubber already there. I just need more time :). I did sound proof the trunk lid, trunk area and all of the doors. The doors...
