What have you done to your Miata today?

What I found this year with looking into a place so close to the event is there are more than a few places available. I think a lot of folks make reservations before they leave, then a year later find they can't make it. A bunch of the places I was looking at were offering discounts too. Of...

What have you done to your Miata today?

We should plan on MATG next yr! I’d love to go but with friends…. You have friends? :ROFLMAO: I'm going to try to make it next year, but given the disappointment of this year I won't be holding my breath. I can't even plan ahead, because I'm starting my seventh month aboard and without a...

If your horn doesn't have a separate ground connection then it is grounded through the mounting bracket.

    NB MX-5 Hey, it's Minnie!

Well, I thought I was going to be able to attend MATG this year. However, the best laid plans etc. The person who was supposed to relieve me decided two weeks beforehand that he was going to go elsewhere. Lots of nonsense ensued with the end result that I am still on ship. What to do to...

What have you done to your Miata today?

Is she happy? That looks really nice. I THOUGHT I was going to make MATG this year. However just like last year, two weeks before I was due to be relieved the individual who was supposed to be coming back told me he wasn't (this was a different guy from last year). I got word to the company...

What have you done to your Miata today?

I'm alive, not home. Still have about three months left. Just sticking my nose in to see what everyone is up to.

What have you done to your Miata today?

I have one of those HF heat guns. It comes in handy but it does get really, really hot on the high setting. Yes, I'm still alive.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

I don't rely on the level of fluid in my brake master reservoir to tell me the wear on my brake pads. If you're comfortable with that, you do you. I do all my own work (except for A/C merely because I don't have gauges/vacuum pump) so I know the condition of my vehicles. I check pad thickness...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Oil/filter change, rotated tires, topped off brake fluid. Checked my rear sway end links, everything is still tight with all nuts present.

NA MX-5 Since I'm back, here's my Miata

North or south of the river? There's a pretty active group on Facebook (if you're on there) that has drives in good weather (Ohio Miata Owners). If you don't know about it there are two C&C in the area, the original at Ta'bogo Cafe (used to be called Fuel) on Riverside Drive, the other at...

    NB MX-5 Hey, it's Minnie!

O2 sensor arrived today so out to the garage I went. Put her up on the QuickJack, removed the old sensor, reset the wideband, connected/calibrated the new sensor (important step) and then installed it. Old sensor didn’t look bad so must have suffered an internal failure (I’m guessing due to my...

    NB MX-5 Hey, it's Minnie!

Nice day here so took her out to run to the store. On the way home, I got a big E8 error code on the wideband. She would run ok steady-state but bucked under acceleration. I nursed her home (couple of miles), before I shut her down I checked the battery voltage since that has been an...

What have you done to your Miata today?

Sorry, I had a senior moment when I read Jeff's response. If yours had the TPMS sensors then making a tube you can pressurize like I outlined would take care of your light.

What have you done to your Miata today?

If that is the case then it should be like our CX-5 and have a button allowing you to basically calibrate the settings for your tire pressure. If so then Bruce should be able to clear his TPMS light.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Yes, they broke the bead enough to allow them access to the interior of the tire. The patch is a stem on it that is pulled through the hole so you get the hole closed up completely.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Picked up a nail from somewhere so put the temp spare on yesterday to take the punctured one to be repaired. First time I have driven on a temp spare, I thought my front axle bearings were failing from the noise it made. Thankfully only had to drive on it for six miles total. Puncture is fixed...

What have you done to your Miata today?

If you still have your TPMS sensors, fabricate a PVC pipe cylinder with a Schrader valve on one end. Put the sensors in it and put in the air pressure you need to clear the light. Then just stow the cylinder in your car. Voila!
