    Stock Intake Modded and Restored

Put everything back, including the resonator, and NO tape over the hole between the inlet and resonator. While the car is in motion, fresh air enters from the top inlet opening, feeds into the tub below the panel filter, and also down into the resonator. The temp in these parts is closer to...

    Stock Intake Modded and Restored

From reading the specs of CS SRIs, the inner diameter of the silicone pipe (coupler between TB and MAF) for CX-3 (2.0G) is 3". It is 3.5" for CX-5. The stock snorkel is not designed to restrict airflow, but the short ram setup supposedly allows for more air flow. I like the CS cold air box that...

    Stock Intake Modded and Restored

Because of NA, I suppose? With forced induction, the air gets pulled so the lack of restriction is beneficial.

    Stock Intake Modded and Restored

I wanted to see if this setup offers any benefit beyond the increased noise. If there is none, then the snorkel will go back in. 😬 Any MPG gain isn't worth the change in how it drives. I wonder if the cone filter in the CS setup works as the narrow passage way (enclosed chamber) to reduce...

    Stock Intake Modded and Restored

Got it! I don't know much of the science behind all this and have to try and find out. 😁

    Stock Intake Modded and Restored

I took it out and the car performs differently. The stock box is still in there with the panel filter and taking loose air straight from a large hole. I suppose the narrow and curved inlet passage helps getting air ready for use? Not sure if the temp made the difference. 🤔 Perhaps I need to wait...

What have you done to your CX-3 today?

Also added the quick-disconnect for the negative terminal. It is basically two pieces connected together by the green knob. There's a plastic barrier between the two pieces. When the knob is off, ground is disconnected. They are tight as of now, but I will need to recheck. When the knob is off...

What have you done to your CX-3 today?

Today I removed the inlet parts of the intake. Will see what difference it makes beyond sound/noise. The rubber tube from TB to MAF has become harder to remove. It used to be easy, now I have to pry and push with two hands. Don't want to use a flathead yet. There are a couple of reasons why I...

    Stock Intake Modded and Restored

I was considering the CorkSport SRI for my CX-3 and have decided to hold off while I experiment with the stock box without inlet snorkel and resonator. Would have deleted this post but will edit it instead when I am ready to pursue further. 😁

Remotely Mazda: Used Oil as Wood Stain

It works well on wood puzzles too. I would color the bare sheets before brushing oil on.

Remotely Mazda: Used Oil as Wood Stain

This piece of tree trunk has been out there for maybe decades. You can tell that the bottom is white-greyish.
