@Tate@1993 as I asked via DM, how have you formatted the drive? I strongly recommend using a 16gb or less drive, which needs to be formatted to FAT32.

You can always try to update directly to 74 from 55. But the general consensus is that you need to update to 70 before 74, when you are below 59.

Sadly, I don't have the EU firmwares for the latest gen Mazdas. If anyone gets a link, I'd be glad to support them.

It’s not something that can be done by an end user. There are places in EU that offer this as a service but that will require some research on your part.

You can clear DTCs with an OBD scan tool. I wouldn’t worry about all this unless you have error codes 😎

DTC = Diagnostic Trouble Code Basically it is an error code that the car reports back to indicate to you what the problem is. The instructions you quoted are saying “don’t do this or your car will set a DTC and report an error, which will require you to clear the code”.
